Florence Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I love the song Lady Cobra! It's so Foxboro Hot Tubs-y.
Dori_Epiphone Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Yeah i´m a teenager, I want to hear Songs about Sex! Green Day you´re f#king right
Guest emmylove Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Radiohead. No two songs of their's sound even remotely alike, even the B-sides. I love bands like that, its something Green Day hasn't even done
Alan86 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 One part of Lady Cobra initially reminded me of the White stripes. But i just listed to it again and the energy of the song actually reminds me of Green Days performance of Rip this joint live on jimmy fallon. Rockin song though. This has to be the lead single from Dos!
WrongWayToSalvation Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I love bands like that, its something Green Day hasn't even done I know, damn you Carpe Diem! You possibly ruined what could have been a very strong album with very strong songs. You'll be the one I'll skip the most. But eh, most albums usually have a couple of duds on them.
Monica. Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Liking both of these songs! Lady Cobra sounds cool and sexy; would be great to hear live. Nightlife is different than what I expected it to be, in a good way. Reminds me a bit of Network. Tbh, actually liked Lady Cobra's parts better than Billie's.

Pallidpallas Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Oh man, you're dead-on. Totally Rip This Joint. It was killing me! I couldn't put my finger on it. Thank God for GDC users!
whatsername Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Fuck i love the song Lady Cobra. Nightlife is good, didn't blow me away like the other song.
iRun Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 gonna give it a listen Prepared to be blown away,
**nobodylikesyou** Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Prepared to be blown away, just heard it == kinda blown away by this whole awesome interview. gonna have to go back and pay close attention to all the music seperately
Malleus Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I'm glad that we can pretty much all agree that Billie's parts are what drags down Nightlife. I never thought I'd ever say that. They'd be perfect without that fucking weird effect.

This has to be the lead single from Dos! I thought this too! I also think Angel Blue sounds a lot like a Rolling Stones song.
amy_runs Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 the interviewer yelling "you have to play this one through!" during Lady Cobra is great
July21 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 i don't really like the effect in billie's voice in nightlife.. but well, gotta hear that one live. i'm sure it'll grow on me
spark in the night Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I love how the interviewer was like "play another one!!" more! more!
1039SweetChildren Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Nightlife has been stuck in my head all evening
Clockwise Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Love Billie's voice in Nightlife, that chorus is so haunting.
Starred Thoughts Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I really love Lady Cobra. Very tubsie. Definitely reaffirms my excitement for Dos. Nightlife, however... it's gonna have to grow on me. I've never really enjoyed "talk rap", or whatever you call it, so I don't feel there's a bias in me feeling that way about this song. It's definitely different.
Ritz Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Love the new songs. Nightlife kinda sounds weird but is amazing. the rap is good so now all the people who were worried about the rap thing can chill. These songs are dirty and amazing. As Billie as, I feel like I'm in a party when I listen to DOS. That is TRUE.

Like, the effect bugs me but it isn't keeping me from really digging the sound of the song.
