StuckWithRob Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I can't believe Green Day wake up early enough to be on breakfast
It's Splash Time Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I can't believe Green Day wake up early enough to be on breakfast They'll be jetlagged though.
Firecracker Lell Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 ASDDFGHJKKL!! I'm just listening to it online!! Awesome Billie's playing new songs ( from his phone? )!! WOOW! Now: Makeout Party!!
insomniax Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 damn it, I missed it I heard something about a tour?! I only heard the last 30 seconds
stuart_and_the_ave Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I can try recording this to a DVD then uploading it somehow. No promises though as I don't even know if I have blank DVDs or if the recorder is even set up. If I do manage to I won't be able to upload it until I get back from work on Friday as I'm going to the London show tomorrow
Smoothed Out Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Watch this every morning. Score. Should be good, they tend to do quite interesting interviews
Ritz Posted August 22, 2012 Author Posted August 22, 2012 Just record it someone. Upload it whenever you get time we just don't wanna miss it !!
stuart_and_the_ave Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Ok I will be recording this, managed to get the DVD recorder to work. Not sure how I'll upload it yet but I'll work something out.
It's Splash Time Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Is this definitely the same short interview repeated a few times? Cause then I'd get up in time for the last repeat.
Harriet Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 It was just a short interview with them. I'd say most BBC Breakfast viewers aren't fans so they were literally just explaining the concept of the trilogy. Nothing really new. Quote from Tre talking about the making of documentary: "We get a lot of people asking what making a record is like. It's like asking what a sausage tastes like. You can try and describe it, or you can just give them the sausage." The presenters thought that was funny
stuart_and_the_ave Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I was about to mention the sausage quote! It was a short but nice interview and as Harriet said nothing new. Still nice to see them on TV
basketcase85 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Quote from Tre talking about the making of documentary: "We get a lot of people asking what making a record is like. It's like asking what a sausage tastes like. You can try and describe it, or you can just give them the sausage." The presenters thought that was funny Billie's face when he said that, like sausages...huh? Don't get why they interviewed them in california when they're here now though. I like that they're taking turns to answer questions in interviews now!
daria02 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I was expecting Green Day to be on the show in person.
stuart_and_the_ave Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I'll upload it tomorrow. I'm assuming it will be the same interview 3 times but I'm recording the whole program in case
Ritz Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 I'll upload it tomorrow. I'm assuming it will be the same interview 3 times but I'm recording the whole program in case thanks !
farley drexel hatcher Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 There was some new studio footage in there! Unless its been released and I just missed it
Ritz Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 There was some new studio footage in there! Unless its been released and I just missed it Really?
farley drexel hatcher Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Really? Yeah they used some footage from the studio videos we got but there were little bits I know hadn't seen before, like billie doing vocals and them on a Kerrang shoot not very long but nice to know its out there
Ritz Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 Thats great. Hope we get some recordings soon.
San Miguel Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Yeah they used some footage from the studio videos we got but there were little bits I know hadn't seen before, like billie doing vocals and them on a Kerrang shoot not very long but nice to know its out there yeah there was a few seconds of new footage, so worth a watch. pity it didn't get more airtime but still good exposure for them. never watched Breakfast before but they had Green Day followed by Seth McFarlane - sweet
StuckWithRob Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 There were new shots of Billie preparing to record the vocals. Also there was a whiteboard with all the songs written on and Billie had a pen and was deciding which album each song should be on by making 'XX's in different colours
It's Splash Time Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Billie mentioned Reading again "Oh Love sounds like the kind of song we'd play in a big place, like Reading with everyone singing along" Maybe this is why it's LA footage but being played now, didn't want to start the rumours too early.
La's Letterbomb Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I have a kind of crappy camera video recording of it off the t.v. will I put it up while we wait for a better upload? edit: It's going to take 70 minutes to upload and it's 5 minutes long!
gdpony Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I just listened to this on soundcloud. Wow. The guys are having so much fun with these three records, it's wonderful! Loved all the previews, not a big fan of nightlife, though I could get used to it I think. Wild one is still one of my favorite songs ajd I was really happy when they played the small preview. I cant wait for fuck time either. This interview made me rrally happy, I cant stop smiling And apparently Billie Joe cant keep a secret
