I'm so sick from he one-line choruses that I dislike the song just from that. And also it's a good song but in any other Green Day record it would be just a b-side.Maybe our problem is that we expect something brilliant from Green Day and none of these songs are yet.Maybe Kill The Dj...

Ok I guess I'll have to wait and see.

I couldn't disagree with this statement more. This song is classic American Idiot style. It's like the Rob Cavallo version of what they were trying to achieve on 21st Century Breakdown (in the vein of 21 Guns and KYE). It's a probable single, too.

FUCK YOU Green Day  You make me addicted everytime! to your songs :P

Replace cat's head with my head

I love the fact that it sounds like pure Green Day and not FBHT. The chorus is ripetitive, and the first verse sounds like Too Much Too Soon, but this time I finally heard Green Day, and I'm freaking glad I could do it. Let Foxboro be Foxboro and Green Day be Green Day, that's it.

Too much too soon was a b-side on American Idiot and this song doesn't sound better than it...At least it had a chorus.

All the choruses so far are lazy.Just repeat the song title.I haven't listened to any fan recorded songs so I don't know about the other songs but yeah the fact all the choruses so far are lazy written makes me upset...

Ooh, I like this. Thanks for posting!

Fucking incredible. Love every aspect of this song. Each instrument sounds amazing individually and as a collective. And it certainly helps that I really believe and am passionate about the stuff they're singing about.

Best track so far, too bad we have to wait until January to get it. Will probably be the first single from Trè though so might get it a little earlier.

Oh and people really need to stop comparing these albums to American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown. Completely different aims.

At first, from what I was hearing from the ¡Tré! Trailer, I wasn't so sure about this song. But now I've gotten to hear it in full it's definitely growing on me

since its not a official single release, i dont want to listen to this..but i tried to search for the part of the song from the tré teaser video, but i didnt found the exact part, only the beginning of the song until the lyrics start..but that is again not the actual part we've heard in the tre-trailer...could someone tell me the time/min. to listen to this part pls?

This is gonna be epic :D

As for the lyrics I’m pretty certain that this is the first verse:

Mother told me, yes, she told me I'd meet girls like you.

She also told me, "Stay away, you'll never know what you'll catch."

Just the other day I heard a soldier falling off

Some Indonesian junk that's going round.

Anyone else hear the stumble in the vocals at the start of the breakdown ? Im wondering if there is ment to be singing at that part and he kept on going to cover the mistake.

Edit: After listening a bit more I think he is slightly out of time at first then stumbled to get back in time.

Looks Like AI Era

99 Revolutions definitely is one of my favorties of the new songs. It sounds kinda old school, I love it. And the performance was awesome, I can't wait for seeing them live today (!) in a week! :woot:

Epic! I don't care if I overuse this word but this song live does really rock the crowd. I hope they're going to play this next week at the shows I'm going to!

Fantastic video and song! Very AI-like. I don't like it as much as the Uno and Dos songs we've heard so maybe it'll be my least favourite of the 3 styles of album, but that's neither here nor there really as I still really like it and and LOVE the fact that they've done these three different styles. A lovely selection of catchy older Green Day style, Foxboro style, epic AI style, and all still sounding new and different and fresh with a retro sounding twist. Something for everyone!

Once again, the chorus just sucks. The rest of the song, especially the breakdown, is cool though.

Totally right. I really like the song, maybe even more than Let Yourself Go. Although the repetitive chorus works better for this song than for all the others, I'm still a bit disappointed. At least one different line in the chorus would have been nice.

Haha, nice save there Tré (around 2:15).

The drumming at the end reminds me the end of Chump.

this is just wonderful!!!

I love this song! Thank you for the video and the download!

So it's 99 revolutions that's playing in the ¡Tré! trailer:)

Should I watch it or not?! aaahhhhhh :runaround:

no. I will resist.

Its already messing with my head. Love it !

I think this is really cool song. Yeah, chorus is repetitive but that doesn't matter. Way better than Troublemaker, I like this more than Let Yourself Go too. :) It really sounds like THE Green Day, I like it!

Sweatiest song ever. Excellent.

Little annoyed about the trend of repetitive choruses, but hey - of the melody is good, who gives a flying salad toss? :)
