WrongWayToSalvation Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Yah, absolutely no idea when I will be seeing them, but I am pretty certain I will be seeing them xP. Although I tend to reserve the "ovaries explode" status for fits of impossible adorableness (a la Billie's and Mike's Instagram posts from earlier today - Billie's of 80, and Mike's of his kids). That's just me, though... a Green Day concert is definitely an amazing and intense experience. Jeez, why are girls so ovary dramatic? Nothing? Eh, I don't give a damn.... Please, let there be well written reviews tomorrow!
Femme Gauche Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Oh hush, leave us alone to fangirl. I think it'll be a bit before we can start seeing these reviews... Anyway, though, I look forward to them.

Femme Gauche Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I can't imagine there were that many (if any?) People from smaller publications attending. However... I dont' know anything about the industry, so I could easily be wrong.
Glynnis Stevenson Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 AHHHH I'm so excited! I love reading reviews, seeing pictures, and listening to them play at awards shows/on TV/live!
**nobodylikesyou** Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 So will I. My argument isn't that members of GDC getting it will somehow hurt. It's the casual fan who isn't interested in paying for it where it becomes a problem. They did mention in one of the first magazine articles there would be leaks and small shows and all kinds of surprises and appearances. So if they leak it themselves then i guess I will check it out.
Dalya Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Well, they have a nice job... listening to the new stuff, eating pop corn, and writing about it on twitter... Awesome job
The Forgotten Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I think this only confirms that this has been the most jammed packed week of Green Day things happening out of nowhere
Annie, get your gun Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 So they where very strict about "no cellphones-etc". The band was there? is there a way to know?
Femme Gauche Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I am guessing they were there, since they are presently in the UK... But no idea.
ChelseaDagger Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 So they where very strict about "no cellphones-etc". The band was there? is there a way to know? I think one of the tweets posted earlier said that Tre was there...
GuitarPunk94 Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 about the possibility of the albums being leaked..i remember how Tenacious D react (i think their music video of their single for 'Rize of the Fenix' was leaked?)..they uploaded their whole new album for free at soundcloud but i still bought a copy, we have to take care of good creative music ^^ also cant wait to read all the critics about the trilogy ^^ hopefully it wont be so bad
angry_robot Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 about the possibility of the albums being leaked..i remember how Tenacious D react (i think their music video of their single for 'Rize of the Fenix' was leaked?)..they uploaded their whole new album for free at soundcloud but i still bought a copy, we have to take care of good creative music ^^ I know that's this is terribly bad but I just can't help myself, I keep checking torrents every day thinking: Why. Don't. You. Motherfuking. Leak! I still gonna buy trilogy to support band, but I can't wait anymore. I mean, new Linkin Park album leaked, Two Door Cinema Club leaked 2 month before release, why can't someone just steal and put goddamn ¡Uno! in the internet! And yeah it's bad. It's terribly bad. It's selfish and bad and I probably shouldn't have said it.
Annie, get your gun Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I think one of the tweets posted earlier said that Tre was there... Oh yeah! I thought I read that too, but because the people who was there didn't say something concrete, I wasn't sure...
TheGrouch33 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 They are millionaires, not practically millionaires. No, it wouldn't personally hurt them. They're set for life financially. But if record sales for two albums in a row are pretty bad (21 cb didn't sell well) that begins to have an affect with what kind of risks their record label are willing to let them take and get away with. If the whole world thought like you, then yes, no problem. well Andres i think Reprise doesnt care that much what direction Green Day takes...because Nimrod didnt sell as well as Insomniac and Dookie, but they still managed to pull of a folk/punk rock record like Warning!!..and even after Warning selling so badly, Reprise still had the guts to listen to a punk rock opera hahahahha. My point is that selling 3 million records for a band is not that bad at all at this age and time, mainly because the internet has taken over the music industry, and because record companies have found many other ways to make money with a band.
The Disappearing Boy Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Yeah I went to the listening party, music was ok. I'll post the links to the albums tonight.
