TheGreenDayKidd Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 These choruses are lazy as hell, what is going on with BJA. And yes I must actually agree with you about the choruses, but they are still awesome for me..
WrongWayToSalvation Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I agree with everyone's comments about repetitiveness, after hearing a couple of songs I thought "well, there's got to be others that are better", but every clip or song I've heard from Uno so far is repetitive, and frankly, a bit boring Hope GD weren't being narcissistic douches when they said things like this. Tre: "This is fucking genius!" Mike: "This is going to blow their minds." Billie Joe: "We're dealing with a new sound." It's like they don't really criticize their own music like they should. No band should be like "Hey I wrote a song 5 minutes ago!" "Great, let's slap it on the album!" "You don't even want to hear it first?" "Nah, fans will like anything that has our name attached to it!" "Oh yeah! Dumbasses!" "Hahahahahaha!" "Hehehehehe!" "Hohohohohoho!" "Shut up Jason! Fuck! You always ruin everything!"
Irrlicht Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 you guys should become clement to your favorite band! judge about their development, when the album is released!!!
WrongWayToSalvation Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 you guys should become clement to your favorite band! judge about their development, when the album is released!!! ....we've already heard 10 out of the 12 tracks from the album. I think it's safe to say something.
Todd Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Let yourself go, let yourself go, let yourself go, Someone kill the dj, shoot the fucking dj Wanna be a trouble maker, wanna be a troublemaker Far away, far away, waste away tonight, Ill make you surrender ill make you surrender 99 revolutions tonight, 99 revolutions tonight I think that sums up all the songs that repeat themselves so far

1039SweetChildren Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 With 37 songs, I'm not expecting intricate, groundbreaking lyrics for all parts. I'm sure there will be highlights on all albums, like in any release. As long as the songs rock, I'm satisfied.

They've been waitning for this more than 3 years, and everyone have right to discuss it
Starred Thoughts Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I do like the song as a whole, but I'm gonna have to jump on the repetitiveness train here as well. In my first listen to the song I was waiting for him to deviate from "I wanna be your troublemaker" in the chorus, but clearly that didn't happen. It's only a minor thing to me, though. I like the Foxboro-ness sound of the song.

It repeats a lot too.
Irrlicht Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I mean there are very very very good songs (non-repetitive) like nuclear family, carpe diem and i really prefer troublemaker! Where did you hear 10/12 tracks? -.- If you heard this amount, you probably heard a few videos with a miserable audio quality
WrongWayToSalvation Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Its only six out of 37. Not too much Most of those choruses were from !UNO! though... And I guarantee they aren't the only ones. The solo part of Horseshoes and Handgrenades. Ugh...and people are saying !UNO! is the best of the 3? Fuck me...
Irrlicht Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Fell For You (fragments) Sweet 16 Rusty James (formally known as Last Gang In Town) You mean the records from tiki bar? you are very funny

1039SweetChildren Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Then. Why. Have. 37. Songs. If. A. Lot. Aren't. Even. That. Special? Repetitive choruses is not the same as songs that aren't special. I dig everything so far and I'm glad we are getting all of them and not a giant back-catalog of tracks we'll never hear and a 14-piece album.
greendepent Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Ok, this is another song to forget. What's happen with Billie Joe dude? All the lyrics are sucking so hard! Stay the night is almost safe since they work it a bit more with that bridge and the solo. And at least it has a pre-chorus thing. Nuclear Family is ok, but repeats a whole verse anyway, changing few words.
WrongWayToSalvation Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Are you sure about Rusty James? Billie Joe said the song Rusty James was about gangs. And disappearing gangs. There are lines in Last Gang In Town that say things like: "You're leaving." "Well there's no one else around."

The could have had a single disc 18-19 track album, released 5 singles from that album, and had 3-4 B-Sides (outtakes) on each single. Then all the material would have been released.

Then all the material would have been released. That's 23 tracks. We're getting 37. I'm glad they aren't limiting their stuff. They're at a point in their career where they can get away with that and we should be thankful. If you aren't into some songs of the 37, then just skip them. It's not the biggest deal.
WrongWayToSalvation Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012  You mean the records from tiki bar? you are very funny Fell For You isn't from the Tiki Bar numb nuts. And so what? You still get the gist and feeling of the song. You'll be able to recognize it on the album. That's 23 tracks. We're getting 37. I'm glad they aren't limiting their stuff. They're at a point in their career where they can get away with that and we should be thankful. If you aren't into some songs of the 37, then just skip them. It's not the biggest deal. I said 3-4 B-sides on EACH single. That's around 15-20 B-sides/outtakes all together. And we should be thankful? Thankful that they could possibly be ripping us off by having us buy 3 albums filled with a lot of forgettable tracks rather than one album filled with amazing tracks? I don't have an iPod, so I'll have to buy each album.
