newsflash777 Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 This song is catchy, but why do they repeat choruses over and over again: "99 Revolutions tonight, 99 Revolutions tonight" "Someone kill the DJ, Shoot the fucking DJ" "Wanna be a Troublemaker, wanna be a Troublemaker" ??? which is something that I'm genuinely worried about/ was initially worried about when they announced 3 new albums with so many songs. Idk.
Femme Gauche Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 which is something that I'm genuinely worried about/ was initially worried about when they announced 3 new albums with so many songs. Idk. Stepping away from the really intensely challenging and thoughtful lyrics of the previous two albums and back to basics. I don't see this as an actual problem since it still sounds pretty fucking great.
Dalya Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Hummm kinda Horses and Handgrenades But Horseshoes and Handgrenades was a kick-ass song Torublemaker seems more pop...
Femme Gauche Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 But Horseshoes and Handgrenades was a kick-ass song Torublemaker seems more pop... But kick-ass pop, in my opinion!
Dalya Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 But kick-ass pop, in my opinion! It sounds pretty good, but we have to hear the entire song
Femme Gauche Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 It sounds pretty good, but we have to hear the entire song Definitely. Only... fuck it's still too far away . But I hope it's longer than the preview! o_o.
Doris The Spider Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 I like this better than some of the other stuff we've heard.

Femme Gauche Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Personal opinion. Of course it still sounds great, I'm pretty sure they could record their farts and I'd dig it lmao, ew. Hope that would be a side project... I'm all for experimentation, but I definitely draw the line at farts! D<. The repetitive lyrics take it back to a more punk zone. One they've never actually delved too deep into, musically, but which they draw a lot of inspiration from.

Pretty sure there's a fart in Sick of Me Or a fart-sound.
1039SweetChildren Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 This song is really fun to sing along to.
Femme Gauche Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Pretty sure there's a fart in Sick of Me Or a fart-sound. I think that's a raspberry. . The way he says "I wanna get inside o' you" really gets inside my head. He sounds so fucking snotty in this recording.
JaHawk2009 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Hmmm. That's definitely a song, I guess. I'm slightly disappointed though, to be honest. We got Oh Love, and it really struck a chord with me. Then that love recording of Let Yourself Go and I liked it, just because the chorus sums up my feelings towards a lot of people. Then Kill the DJ bringing thoughts of rave-punk and making me wanna dance which is just awesome. Then I hear Lady Cobra and Nightlife on Radio 1, which I loved along with all the other previews, then ths seems so... Meh. I mean, it's okay but not something I'd choose to listen to repeatedly from what we've heard so far.
jacknovella Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 I like this song, it seems pretty catchy from the little snippet we've heard. I think this will be a little bit of a mellower song you would feel like listening to after listening to a lot of the more fast paced, pump ass songs so to speak.
