Sixtrix Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 How do you like your steak done? Well or with a pink center? Oh? But would you be alright with me spamming how much I love all of these over and over again? I'm sure you would be. Double standards baby, gotta love em. You are sure I would be, now. I'm just bothered that you type these messages how you know it all, how the songs were written and produced, what attitude was laid down during the process, and now you even tell me that you know exactly what I would like. Well mister, if you know it all. Write me a master piece right now. If you succeed, you will get a free fishdick
WrongWayToSalvation Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 You are sure I would be, now. I'm just bothered that you type these messages how you know it all, how the songs were written and produced, what attitude was laid down during the process, and now you even tell me that you know exactly what I would like. Well mister, if you know it all. Write me a master piece right now. If you succeed, you will get a free fishdick Ok first off I'm not a gay fish. Second, I never claimed to be right about anything. I see tons of people on here talking about how much they love all of the new songs, yet I don't see you responding to them. Just me, the person with the differing opinion. Coincidence? I think not! Obviously I'm joking when I write those fake conversations, a lot of you seem to make it sound like I was serious just to use that against me, when I wasn't serious at all, so you can't really use it against me. I said seem, which usually means this is a parody and the most radical thing that could have happen, in context of the tone of that comment. And I write a little poetry, sure, I'll post something. It may not be a masterpiece, but hey. I've only been writing for a couple of years, while BJ's been writing for over 2 decades. Concrete Feet Focused realities have started to burn Dulled by the cities let my eyes adjust Tree that sways in a violent gust That's roots in hardening earth And there will be no backtracks My feet aren't fitting my footsteps For better or for worse, I'm trapped in limbo This barcoded tattoo is none of your concern With a darker pigment, and all filled up Please, remove these black and white cuffs The mood around here's about to upturn. Something a wrote a little while ago about indecision. Here's another one: Naivete Shine those searchlights From the highest towers Watch the rodents scatter Our false hope left In a crooked ruin This throttling strait Security blanket We are kept, from all sight Infiltrate the catacombs inside And bring it crumbling down Flick your ashes down upon us Contrast careless and care less Every fuse leads towards the end And from the fire something new Like a faint heart monitor Disappointing rises and falls Much too often recycled cycle Benefactors are nowhere To be seen Height itself mocking Your every move Your chin is up, it brings you down Softened voices are everywhere to be found Only amplified behind a gun A little falling call thing with that one. A more political tinged one. Which I'm only 16, so I haven't had years and years to hone or improved upon myself yet. I don't really like writing "Oh my life sucks soo bad" or "No one understands me" type of stuff either, so I guess that kind of makes me stand out a bit amongst other teens who write poetry/lyrics.
Nuclear Baby Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 OMG I love it so much, it's like Stiff Little Fingers or Toy Dolls or something. LOVE!
WrongWayToSalvation Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Probably shouldn't have posted that. Now someone's gonna rip it off. But eh, I'll probably just write something better down the road at some point.
Guest Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Green Day sure have turned into the band some people hate to love these days. Oh love...

petros Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 It's a challenge then.We should tell Billie to write something on this forum too and then we will all decide which one is better! Is that ok with you? And as I told you before and as many people are pointing out nobody's bothered you're having a different opinion most people don't like the way you express it.
Mar Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 And this isn't the first single, because? Seriously, I can hear this playing over every trailer for every fall TV show, basically. Groundbreaking? Hardly. But nice and catchy. Nowhere near the shitshow that is Christian's Inferno, omg, no. I'd fucking hate this song if it was anything like Christian's Inferno.
Clockwise Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Can't stop listening to this preview. So fucking good. The drums in the chorus especially, feel like this song could have stemmed off of Fuck Time at some point, which is pretty cool.

It's what gives what I say such personality! Also that was 2 separate pieces that I wrote, not just one.

Oh ok I get it now... Everyone just needs to ignore you cause you like getting attention by being a douchebag and getting people quoting you.
WrongWayToSalvation Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Oh ok I get it now... Everyone just needs to ignore you cause you like getting attention by being a douchebag and getting people quoting you. Nah, not really considering I said if you don't like what I've said thus far, then don't read them. I just don't like being serious, because it's boring, plus this is an Internet forum. One of the pluses is the animosity of it all. Oh the irony! Put down the smart ass in a GREEN DAY dedicated forum, none the less in a section dedicated to a song called Troublemaker. I think this was meant to be. Which, to be honest I don't really care what you think about. You say I want attention. So how do you prove that point exactly? By giving me attention? Oh wow, I'm so popular.
porksoda Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I don't want a rehash of an album I've already heard. A lot of these new songs sound like rehashes of stuff we've already heard. With reused melodies and guitar riffs. It's like they're not really trying. Billie Joe writes a song in 5 minutes and it automatically goes straight onto the album with little to no consideration. That seems to be what's happening. When Billie wrote dozens of sings for 21st CB Butch Vig sat down with the band and helped to choose the strongest songs and improve upon them. But the process of these albums seem to be like this: Billie: "So Rob what do you think of the song so far?" Rob's strumming his guitar and not paying attention: "Hmm? What? Oh, yeah it's uh, great. I guess." Billie: "Sweet! We'll put it on the album." Rob: "Mmm, I'm gonna make me a sandwich." Billie: "Can you make me one too?" Rob: "Huh? Uh yeah, it sounds um...good. That should go on the album too." Rob Cavallo is a much better producer than Butch Vig will ever be. Do I think they need 3 albums in such a short time span? No, I don't. I'd much rather just have a single, cohesive record, but that's not what they're looking to do. They've done it all, what else is left to do? They're just trying to have fun. There's over 3 albums of material coming up, so I'm sure there's going to be at least one track you will dig.
That Dude Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Well on Itunes this song has "explicit" by it. I wonder if there's more cursing in the song than just that one line about "tits". Probably some F-bombs later in the song. Has anyone heard it all the way through?

Clayish Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Rob Cavallo is a much better producer than Butch Vig will ever be. woah der boi.
WrongWayToSalvation Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 the full version is in the game but with the sound effects over it. The ones uploaded on YouTube are only a minute and a half long though, and you can still hear the game's sound effects in the background. Does it just have that section fade in then fade out or is there a proper song intro and outttro?
WhiteTim Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Rob Cavallo is a much better producer than Butch Vig will ever be. You mean in your opinion... Just like to me Rob couldnt produce an album like Nevermind or Siamese Dreams Bricks Are Heavy or Expermential Jet Set Trash And No Stars... not downplaying Rob as a producer at all but to me i prefere Butch style better
Martyn Posted August 21, 2012 Author Posted August 21, 2012 the full version is in the game but with the sound effects over it. you sure? damn if i have to play the full game to find it.... :angry
DarrenDookie Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Moving back to "Troublemaker", I was amazed to see how many people consider it a "great" song as I find it very underwhelming. One thing I love about Green Day is their variety in songs. At first I didn't like Kill the DJ one bit with its repetitve chorus and funky beat, but it has grown on me and I love it making me more excited about their new direction with these new albums, but Troublemaker just never really gets going for me. I honestly can't see them performing this song live unless they decide to play Uno! from back to front. Sounds like a b-side from The Network
