Staring at some pictures of the venue now and it's just perfect..

I can afford to go and I hate it so much cause there is no way in hell that I can go NOW.

Being underage is stupid.

But the show is 14+, right? So you're not underage :)

It's not up to us where they play, and we know we're lucky to live not too far away. Green Day pretty much always play in Manchester when they do a proper tour, as well as Scotland and sometimes other cities such as Sheffield. Maybe you'll be able to see them when they tour the UK next year?

Back to waiting then

I wonder is there any way to find out how much tickets will be on the Idiot Club? Because I really don't think I can fork out £49.50 for this.

They'll most probably be the same, presales usually just link you through to a ticket agency website.

Awesome! :woot: I hope many GDCers can get tickets for this!

I didn't expect the tickets to be that expensive, but it's worth it I guess. Technically I can go because I can afford the tickets, accomodation and a plane ticket. But at such short notice.. I can't do that, just not possible unfortunately. I'll see them next week. Can't wait to read in this thread who's going!

they will be the same. idiot club membership doesn`t give you the chance of cheaper tickets...just an extra chance of getting some.

Gutted it's in not closer to me really. Don't think I'd be allowed to go on my own especially not knowing the route. The O2 then probably yeah. Hopefully they play Southampton/Bournemouth/Portsmouth when they do a proper UK tour.

Lord, this is gonna cost so fucking much, not to mention cost me my friendship :ermm: If I wait till tomorrow to get the train tickets then it's all gonna come to about £150.

The things I do for this band.

Yes, I know but there is no way that my parents will let me go to england alone, especially on such a short notice + school starts tommorrow :(

But maybe I could book everything on my own and say "Oh my god! Look what I won!"

Is the show 18+ then?

Soooo Tempting! Those ticket prices might be a problem though :/

It said under 14s must be accompanied by an adult, so I assume it's not 18+.

That's what I'm doing

Bed for £8 at a hostel in shepherd's bush, venue is 5mins away. I'm going to book a room now! http://www.hostelwor...Bush/London/506

Thanks for this, will definitely be booking a bed here if I get a ticket.

Yeah these are expensive tickets, especially with the venue. For me it was going to be way more expensive to see them in LA as I had to fly across California and find somewhere to sleep while already paying for my current hostel. This is all within an hour and a half drive from my house and I can stay with a friend nearby or drive home after.

May as well throw the offer out there that if anybody from GDC is in the Midlands area (near Coventry) and wants a lift down if I get tickets then they are welcome to it (bringing a Green Day mix CD is my only request!)

I didn't refresh the page for a bit, so didn't see the explanation.

If tickets weren't that expensive, I could have taken my cousin too, boo.

Will just have to see what goes down tomorrow when the sale starts.

Hope a lot of GDCers get some tickets - just leave me 2 when you go through the presale, please?

You should do that! :P Aww, but I'm really sorry if you can't go, that really sucks. I wish everyone could make it. :(

Ah, this is so exciting for all of you, glad you guys are getting a show! :) I hope you all have a great time, and that lots of GDC'ers get tickets so we can infest the place. :shifty:

I was trying to find info on the bus home, and the running home to the laptop.

Daamn! I need to be at this.

Will go to the show and then go straight to Reading Festival afterwards if i'm lucky enough.

New plan, I'm gonna ring my friend tonight, tell her I've won tickets and see if she's gonna be persuaded to let me go. If she will then I'll book my train tickets before they double in price tomorrow and hope that I manage to actually get a ticket.

I feel that way it'd save me the heartache of getting a ticket and then my friend saying, there's no way you're leaving me on my own. I'm so scared of telling her  she can be such a meanie.

It works! Sadly I've already pulled that one for going to see AI in december :D but maybe I got lucky twice.. It's worth a shot!

£45 is a lot for SBE but let's face it, we all know it'll be worth and it's not often the boys come over here. The venue is small so the gig is going to be really special. I just renewed my IC membership in anticipation. Really hope I can get tickets, will be gutted if I don't as I only live down the road. Just realised that the day ticket for Rock en Seine was £40 so it really does put it into perspective how much of a rip off things are over here!! So glad they're playing before I go to Paris

50 quid a ticket ARE YE FUCKIN KIDDIN ME

Hopefully it works out for you Holly :)

Going to ring my friend (Charlie, some of you met her at Wembley) tomorrow when general sale starts, just to go through prices, see if she can afford to pay me back - or we can sort an arrangement. Kryssi's going as well so if I do end up coming on my own, then at least there's one person I know who's definitely going.

Tomorrow's going to be a stress.
