Davepalooza Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 There are 3 levels for seating. Will be sat on Level 3 for this, i don't mind, at least i will be there! Going back to Reading Festival after this show aswell. Going to be a good weekend! http://www.londonvenueguide.com/Images/bushempirebalcony.jpg
Jaymee!! Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I've created a page for the show in the tour section, where I encourage you guys to now post your meet up plans (so members with less than 100 posts can participate).
tamales Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Just registered to comment on the Shepherd's Bush Empire. That's definitely the best venue for a gig like this. Already seen Reel Big Fish, Offspring, and NOFX there this year and the place was absolutely rocking. You don't get better vibes anywhere in London, that's for sure. It's mainly because it's fairly small, so only real fans get in, and it has stalls with three levels above them with people jumping up and down everywhere you look. Strangely, level 1 was not for general sale today though. The rest rooms are a bit punk but I've seen much worse. Although I witnessed a guy dropping his iPhone into the massive "communal" urinal, poor bloke :-)
teresa1988 Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Hi Guys, I was trying to book a ticket today for that show at 12pm, but by the time I opened the website, the tickets were already all gone. Does anybody got a spare ticket to sell to me? Please reply or send me a message. Thanks!!
tomdsjames Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Happy for everyone going but extremely jealous as well. Got onto the presale at 9am then clicked on 'buy tickets' to be presented with a message saying tickets had sold out. It hadn't even turned 9:01 so gutted

MadMattTBH Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I shall be in attendance. I purchased my tickets at 9:00:01 AM, after sitting staring at the computer waiting for this moment from 5AM
WhatsUpLucas Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I'm so glad that those of you who were planning since yesterday got your tickets. Really. Two days and you'll be rocking your arses off!

It hadn't even turned 9:01 so gutted i got this too i was so upset, i had to go outside for 5 minutes at work i just started crying cos i realised how much i love this band absolutely gutted appaently some people managed to get tickets through the presale at 8:30, which is extremely unfair
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 So does anyone know the policy on cameras? I don't want to have mine (regular wee one nothing big/flashy with a zoomy lense or anything before you ask) taken by security yet it would suck to turn up without one and miss a chance for great pics...anyone know? Also i am basically taking a Eurolines bus (6pm i leave Ireland 8.30am i reach London ... things i do for Green Day!) and will have a bag with me...will that be a problem does anyone know? It's like a schoolbag-won't have much in it just passport and basics really.

If you don't take it, I'll be taking mine so there's going to be photos kicking around at some point. As for your bag, just leave it open on the way in, let security check it, then away you go
anniewoo Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 woulld've thought a digital standard camera is ok, check the venue site. i've never had mine taken from me after all the gigs i go to, (that's a lot ) grrr. sorry i know i sound like a bitch, but it just annoys me how newer fans and people who have never seen green day before got tickets over people who've followed them for 13 years and have done almost every tour. i'm so pissed. i know you shouldn't say or think that way, but i just do.
Guest Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 grrr. sorry i know i sound like a bitch, but it just annoys me how newer fans and people who have never seen green day before got tickets over people who've followed them for 13 years and have done almost every tour. i'm so pissed. So when we all saw GD for the very first time did we not deserve the tickets because we had never seen them before? Did that make us all lesser fans because for whatever reason we chose that show to attend first, or because we weren't able to attend any before? There was a limited number of tickets available in a brief period of time, people who completed their forms the fastest got a ticket, bottom line. A ticking clock cares not for a false sense of entitlement.
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Cool, thanks guys...been to see Green Day tonnes of times before (having been a fan since i was a kid ...im 27) but not in a tiny venue. Thought the rules might be different thats all...especially since they may have new material. I get that ppl are pissed that they didn't get tickets but don't assume that cos people aren't on this site very long they aren't fans for long/haven't been to see the band loads of times...difference between this venue and o2/Marlay Park etc is rather um huge.
Undómiel Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I'm off GDC for two days... follow my twitter (if my phone doesn't die first!) for updates from the show.
Fuzz Posted August 21, 2012 Author Posted August 21, 2012 You guys should use the thread in the tour forum going forward to talk about and keep up with the show. http://www.greendayc...london-england/
