GuitarPunk94 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 found this http://www.gigwise.c...g-festival-show nothing is confirmed officially..but ya its obvious that they will play at Reading..the thing with Dookie could be real or just trolling by billie
Vic_Rattlehead Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I hope someone films this, or even better if they pro-shot it and released a DVD
The Pedestrian Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Won’t it be on the BBC if it’s reading? Probably on the red button red button/bbc 3? I hope someone records it if it is. I’m at work :/
Smoothed Out Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 So is this, totally confirmed or anything? Won’t it be on the BBC if it’s reading? Probably on the red button red button/bbc 3? I hope someone records it if it is. I’m at work :/ Yeah it will be, the red button normally, and they usually have the headliners on a continuous loop all day. But GD will be a massive thing so surely they'll join the likes of the headliners with importance.

germanfuzaloo Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 NME has an article saying that it is confirmed that they will play Dookie in its entirety. So I don't think Billie was joking.

So I don't think Billie was joking. if its rly true... *.* it would feel like seeing GD perform in the 90s (1994)...i always wish i was born earlier so i could have joined this pure punk-rock era thing and the great live shows seeing GD perform songs we call 'rare/oldschool' today, but back in the 90s these song were a standard part in the setlists
DannyDirnt Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I'd rather have them play 1039/Kerplunk but I guess it'll be awesome anyway. Will it be aired here in Spain?
germanfuzaloo Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Confirmed that Green Day will go on at noon at the NME/Radio 1 Stage http://www.spin.com/#articles/green-day-will-dabble-in-dookie-again-at-reading-fest
porksoda Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 They better stream/record this! I'm pissed that this is a UK thing and I can only hope maybe it'll inspire them to tour Dookie in the US in the future.
Karol Oliveira Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Does Radio One usually do a live stream of their stage on the radio? I would be nice to hear this epicness live, at least.
Karol Oliveira Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Even if they don't play Dookie front to back, still it would be nice to hear (better yet to see) the show at the exact moment it's happening.
desertrose Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Caroline Cripps @Carolinexoxo Just met @GreenDay , I asked Tre what stage they're playing at Reading, he smiled at me and said "get there early"... As you say sir
Ritz Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 wow ! I hope we get good quality streams of this show ! It will be epic !
JaHawk2009 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 So, if anyone could PM me whenever something's announced? I'm working all weekend but my girlfriends t Reading and I'm on Green Day watch for her... And I'm incredibly envious as well
Martyn Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 So THIS is why they opened with/played "All By Myself" yesterday in london! Practise for tomorrow's "secret" set
Justin Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 So THIS is why they opened with/played "All By Myself" yesterday in london! Practise for tomorrow's "secret" set To be honest i would be really suprised if they did play all of Dookie, NME arent a realible source at all. It might happen, but surely they would have played some songs like Enemius Sleepus, Pulling Teeth etc last night to practice surely?
GuitarPunk94 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 will there be a live stream of this or will it be recorded?
Justin Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Live stream is very unlikely.... highlights are possible at some point http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/events/efmhzc
tvrman Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Live stream is very unlikely.... highlights are possible at some point http://www.bbc.co.uk...c/events/efmhzc Agreed. I think the best bet is to use the red button on BBC3 at 7pm when BBCs Reading highlights coverage starts.

It might happen, but surely they would have played some songs like Enemius Sleepus, Pulling Teeth etc last night to practice surely? NME wasn't the source of that information ; Billie Joe being a tease on the BBC Radio 1 interview was the source of that. He was just being a tease when they were all asked which was their favorite of their older catalog.

DannyDirnt Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Don't bother with live streams. It will be on Youtube in HD the next day xP
netty Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 erm guys... we have just had word that the Paris secret show has been cancelled. you can confirm something as much as you like but some times....it can all go horribly wrong. I do feel really bad for the people who have been trying to get to that gig.
