w00t932 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Ok...so honestly i have defended Billie's seemingly harsh comments towards people in the past but i have thought of every possible way to justify this one and there just isn't any...the guy seriously didn't say anything offensive or smartass or even suggestive (in the "i want your babies/sperm" sense which is all too common) yet Billie calls him a cunt?! Seriously? How is that ok? For the record you can still click on the guys instagram and read what he and his friends are saying. He is genuinely gutted. I think Billie went too far this time. I know he is in a rough place but why take it out on fans? my thoughts exactly. The first thing that came to mind when i read the comments was

I get that he puts up with a lot of shit comments from people but thats just it...the guy really didnt say anything wrong...like seriously! Definitely if Billie wanted to lash out...why him and why over a totally harmless comment...i tried seeing how anyone could take offense from what the guy said and i just cant ...and silencing him by banning him is just aweful. As much as I agree that he was wrong. It's not awful. He's a human and has of temper. He gets pissed for no reason sometimes just as so many normal people. Look, Billie's an overall really nice guy and good to his fans, but I would never argue with someone who was trying to convince me that he's also immature and rude. That's the other side of Billie, it's very real, it's who he is, and it ain't so purdy... fans just have to accept it. (And don't try to blame his 'rehab' or whatever, this is just who Billie is... a nice guy who will call you a fucking cunt for no reason and mean it ) Almost everytime I see one of your comments I go "YES just what need to be said!"

But the difference between him amd us is that when we get pissed a) we usually do it at our friends/family members or maybe even coworkers or random strangers NOT people who call themselves fans of ours...who claim to actually worship us as that guy does (with Billie!!). And b) maybe we have even the slightest reason to be pissed at said person in the first place...i really dont see a reason here! Billie is very obviously human but ...im sorry this is just rude.

Which means if you get pissed, you get pissed... whatever the reason or no reason, the fact that this person is a fan doesn't change that you are annoyed. Don't be fake.

Right...because my opinion wasn't "Yeah Billie you showed him!" All i did was state my opinion...which i still stand by and it was simply that Billie overreacted to practically nothing and for the record the conversation on here all day has been people justifying it so i just figured i would throw in my two cents...i forgot thou must always support everything Green Day does always regardless if it is just wrong...which i believe that was. It isnt a big deal...or a mountain but it was being discussed. And im so over it. It didnt happen to me thankfully.

Yeah it was a pretty dickish comment, but oh well? It was just a comment on Instagram, it's not like he's going out and calling all of the fans assholes or something. The picture was just meant to be funny and people are takin it way too seriously in a political way. It reminds me of the people who were flipping out when Mike posted the "Dear diary...." photo, saying he was in no place to say something like that. At the end of the day, it's just Instagram, that's all.
