Firecracker Lell Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 What picture did Biliie snap at the fan? There are a lot of STUPID PEOPLE on Instagram. I look at the comments on the recent picture Bilie posted and I want to rip my eyeballs out. People are just so fucking stupid!! And creepy oh my god. 1. Stop asking what A's is!! GOOGLE 2. Stop spelling Adie's name wrong. It's Adrianne, It's not Adrian, It's not Adriaenne. IT'S ADRIENNE 3. STOP saying "Come to my country ______" Hey when you guys come to ______ sdfkjadskfsdc gjhfdgkjhjhf I agree with ya! Another one: stop asking who 80 is? Or what is 80?!!
K-Lo green Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 So, does this mean that Billie, and by extension the band, is gonna start doing shit again? Cause that would be pretty fantastic. Also- where are y'all finding this beard pic? Did he take it down?
TheJedi Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 I find that pretty cruel too to be honest to say that he's short isn't that bad.. but i, to be honest, HATE when people call him old. ._.
DannyDirnt Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 to say that he's short isn't that bad.. but i, to be honest, HATE when people call him old. ._. Well, saying he's short and calling him cheeseball, dork, old man, etc. is different. I find that a little too much. But well, it's just jokes people make.
Schlappy Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Well, saying he's short and calling him cheeseball, dork, old man, etc. is different. I find that a little too much. But well, it's just jokes people make. are you talking about this on forum? (i havent read your full conversation so i may or may not know what youre talking about thus making myself look like a idiot) dude we're just poking fun, as one would do to a friend... besides he is short so whats wrong with that, even his son makes fun of him.

Hermione Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Wait. Isn't the album 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours? I thought 39/Smooth was just a little EP that had less songs than 1039 SOSH and I read somewhere that 1039 SOSH was their first studio album. The album is 39/Smooth, it came out in 1990 and has 10 songs on it. Then in 1991 a compilation album called 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours was released - which is the album 39/Smooth plus the 1000 Hours EP and the Slappy EP. So, 39/Smooth = Green Day's first album. 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours = a compilation of Green Day's first album and two EPs. I thought 1039 SOSH had been released in 1989
Femme Gauche Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Not really? No more so than people poking fun at his height and whatnot, for example. Even on this thread, people have called him a cheeseball, a dork, an old man, etc. And it's funny. Those are all things I would say to a friend. XD.
gerardsangel4977 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Those are all things I would say to a friend. XD. Exactly But it's like...when Billie makes one of his cheesy jokes, I do laugh at it....but it's not because I find the *joke* funny; It's because I can't get over how cheesy he is, and I think it's adorkable, so I laugh. If it wasn't so endearing, then I wouldn't laugh at all because it would just be annoying then.
AngelBlue_ Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 I didn't see this photo from Instagram, but I thought it look similar to the posts Billie had before. Sorry if this was already posted. awww is this a recent pic??? is it on joey's IG???
Hermione Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 That's all. Thanks lol I was so wrong! I thought 1039 SOSH had been released in 1989 39/Smooth was recorded at the end of 1989, but was released in 1990 . Their first EP (1000 Hours) came out in 1989 though so maybe that's what you were thinking of. You can always have a look at the Wikipedia pages for each album if you're wondering about stuff like that, they're very good and accurate.
PaulS Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 I'd have more sympathy with Billie's 39/Smooth frustrations if he'd kept the thing in print, but he didn't. Even when they took back their rights from Lookout in 2007, they chose to only release the compilation album. I get that 39/Smooth is historically correct, but you can't spend your entire career deliberately keeping it out of print then wonder why people get them confused
mbk Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 ]My impression is that Billie Joe is kind of annoyed that Larry Livermore (I think I remember reading that it was his idea) had this clever idea of changing the title of 39/Smooth to include the names of the two EPs (though Billie Joe must have agreed to it at the time). Kerplunk was also re-released with additional tracks from an EP, but since it wasn't renamed it hasn't generated all the confusion.

And the story about the name is pretty interesting. Thanks

DannyDirnt Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 You kids with your digital downloads... It's in the booklet! Gurl, when Kerplunk came out I hadn't even been born! I was born in fucking '96 I don't own Kerplunk

And, in that case, 39/Smooth and Kerplunk were released sans bonus tracks, though the CD versions still have them. OMG really? What songs from what EPs? And the story about the name is pretty interesting. Thanks The Sweet Children EP was tacked onto the back end of Kerplunk for the CD release.
DannyDirnt Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 The Sweet Children EP was tacked onto the back end of Kerplunk for the CD release. But wasn't that EP already in 1039 SOSH?

Hermione Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 But wasn't that EP already in 1039 SOSH? Nah, 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours = 39/Smooth + 1000 Hours EP + Slappy EP
DannyDirnt Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Nah, 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours = 39/Smooth + 1000 Hours EP + Slappy EP Crap, I need to get my facts right!
