aahhhh Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I like how when they list of performers were mentioned like 20 minutes ago during the pre-show they totally didn't even mention Green Day, who ALWAYS gives a huge performance. Just another scenario where MTV is catering to only pop, R&B, and rap artists. I remember on the VMA's many years back Green Day were killing it on votes for the Viewer's Choice Award... you could see who had what percentage of the votes the weeks leading up to the night of the show. No one was going to possibly touch Green Day according to the votes, then about 10 mins before they announced the winner of the award they took down the stats and claimed Puff Daddy as the winner. He had less than half the votes of Green Day the ENTIRE time of the voting period. I HATE MTV. Lol. Its hilarious that you remember this. They had like 45% of the overall vote an hour into the show and somehow lost to fucking Puff Daddy
