1039SweetChildren Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Is just me or everybody seemed to love the live version and never stopped repeating the chorus (over and over again) and now that the song is finally out, everybody's reaction is like The live version had a faster tempo... so that could be why.
Mar Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Yeah, I think I should have tapered my excitement for the song I had before listening to it. I just thought it would a hell of a lot catchier and upbeat. I guess I thought it would be like a party in a 3-minute song, but this isn't it. This honestly drags more than I thought Oh Love did at first. I wasn't the biggest fan of the live version, either, but I didn't want to judge it based on an amateur live recording.

I'm listening to it with these sound enhancing headphones and ajdhsjadhsjhaAlso, I hope they play this song at Voodoo fest because half of the lineup is DJ dubstep crap. Like Skrillex, etc.

Ingrid Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Just listened to the explicit, good quality version (really glad I waited for the proper one!) It wasn't like I expected at all, and it didn't leave me ecstatic or anything, but.. I really like it! And it feels so fucking good to finally be able to say something positive about anything coming out of this trilogy - I really hate being negative all the time (although I've shut up about 95% of it here on GDC, believe me it's been eating me up inside). But I like this song, even after only one listen. I'm not even sure why I like it - it's very different, but in a good way I think. And I love the guitars. Need to listen to it again! Bottom line is: some faith restored. Let's just hope the full video for Oh Love won't crush it completely.
