Vic_Rattlehead Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 If you search for Green Day, then find their artist page, sort by release date, you'll see Kill the DJ. You can't go on it's page, but you can click buy, and it will download! and it's explicit! Hooray!
Annie, get your gun Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I'm hugely disappointed by this song! That doesn't even cover it, there is no word in elvish, entish or the tongues of men for how disappointed I am. Was it really that bad for you?
Sanity Loan Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Is it possible to upload it? Please do not post links to downloads of the iTunes version. We could get in trouble.
greendepent Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Damn, I though that Oh Love was bad, but this is worse! The autotune is okay here, since this is some kind of parody to pop songs. But is a boring song cause is too slow D: Studio versions are lame. And probably almost all the record will be.
Brian Gag Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I'm not exactly a fan of iTunes. Anyone know if it's going to be up on Amazon MP3 or another service?
1039SweetChildren Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Dying to hear the uncensored version!
Raven93 Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Doesn't work for iPad ...... Now I play the waiting game
blitzkriegdeb Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I love it, it's so annoyingly catchy. I'm sure the explicit version will be better, as is the case most of the time. It really reminded me of Funhouse by Pink. Really wish this had been the lead single for the US rather than Oh Love.
Cris. Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Was it really that bad for you? The disappointment was that huge yes, because I had high expectations for the song and I simply didn't like it. Not that I hated it, but if it wasn't Green Day I probably wouldn't have bothered to listen to it a third time (and a 4th, and a 5th...). And also I never miss a chance to use the best quote of the Lord of the Rings
Dalya Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I wanted to hear "shoot the fucking dj" where can I get this fuck fuck fuck fuck version?
perfectpitchrob Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I'm sure the regular explicit version will feel less (or at least slightly less) repetitious. It sounded like the edited chorus had vocal segments repeated more often. Despite a few nitpicks in the song, I like what I've heard so far, but I can't give a final verdict till I hear it full of all the f bombs back in, the way green day intended. I'm not too worried about the minor pitch correction used on this song. It actually works due to the element of the music, and besides, there doesn't appear to be any in what we've heard of 99 revolutions so far so it's no big deal for me.
Eva Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I have to say....I'm disappointed. Really disappointed. Like "I can't believe my favorite band actually released this" disappointed. I tried listening to it over and over because Oh Love had to grow on me, but I can honestly say that it hasn't helped except fuel the disbelief that this is actually a Green Day song. A single, too, no less. It's too slow, too repetitive, and way, way, way too simple. I had such high hopes for this song and now that I've heard it, well...
Brandon R. Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I don't know if this has been mentioned but if you pre-ordered the digital box set, the song is available for download right now. EDIT: Well it says it is, but you get Oh Love when you download it. Grr.
dumb shiny bitch Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I freaking love it! It just makes me wanna get up and get my dance on Never have Green Day been so funky! Yes, this is funky-furious and it's fucking groovy, man
Josh100_3 Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Well when I first heard Oh Love I was very very dissapointed! But I AM LOVING THIS! It sounds like The Clash mixed with funk, it's so much fun! It definitley needs the F bombs though.
July21 Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 it's kinda sad to see that some people are that disappointed bout it.. well, opinions will always differ. i fuckin love the new era that's begun! kill the dj got me from the first second
