Sarahnade Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 the new vid is ok, and i think it looks more like 21 Guns. the video spent a lot of time capturing the girls than the trio. I feel like this is my only complaint. I wish the camera would've spent a little more time on the guys.
The Snark Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 So, I just watched the R-rated version, and I hate to say it... but I kind of like it better. Although I don't like how it portrays women by any means, I assume it's tame for an R-rated video, and it makes sense for what they're selling as a sexualized song. It gets more of a message across than the girls pointlessly just sitting around. I think the PG version is comparable to the edited version of Kill The DJ, which I wasn't a huge fan of. Although it's more appropriate, it's not nearly as good of a product in the end as the more offensive version. This. I don't understand why the PG version was so edited down from the R-rated one. They could've easily left in more shots of the girls having fun, even if it meant blurring out some bits.

Sixtrix Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I slept through the premiere. I guess it will be available online later today
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 This. I don't understand why the PG version was so edited down from the R-rated one. They could've easily left in more shots of the girls having fun, even if it meant blurring out some bits. Exactly! The R-rated version was more of what I was expecting. Like I said, I don't want to like it, but I do. Especially compared to the crap that is the PG version.
Sara Armstrong Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 only part i liked was when billie ate that string of spaghetti with one of the girls
OldWhatsHisFace Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 What?!?! I FUCKING MISSED IT CAUSE OF FUCKING SCHOOL! What the effing fuck?! I sounds to me like I didn't miss much.. I really hope I can see it soon! I fucking hate MTV. They're hopeless...
Glynnis Stevenson Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I knew this video would be polarizing since the single was, but I actually thought it was really good. The production quality was amazing. It captured the sexual tension the song is all about. And Billie's passion was palpable. I love the song, I had a lot of fun watching the video
Elena Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 aww noooo, it doesn't work in germany, stupid GEMA ...seems like i gotta spend hours of searching how to watch it though it's forbidden again
Mellow Dramatic Jeff Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 This video was just uninspired. I mean, the Rated R version had better shots and some very beautiful shots but it didn't fit the song. Maybe if the song was called "Oh Lust" but... it's not.

I wanna watch it, too! only part i liked was when billie ate that string of spaghetti with one of the girls That was actually the bubble gum she popped earlier! I liked that bit too, haha.
tookum Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Agree, agree. The video is only so-so, but then the only Green Day video that Sam Bayer directed that I really liked was "American Idiot". None of his videos seem to relate to the song or the band. Oh, BOBD was pretty good as well, sorry 'bout that.
WhatsUpLucas Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I like them titties. If you take that away, just an average video.
Sixtrix Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I like them titties. If you take that away, just an average video. Well then you still have Tre's titties
Josh100_3 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Where's the R rated version? I'm a bit of a retard when it comes to the internet...
PanicAttack! Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 YES! After watching the R-rated video I'm sold! But what creepers! Tré is the worst, good thing you can't be a creeper before you hit 40. On a different note; nice boobs!
mallorymaloney Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Found the R rated version just now: http://www.greendayi...ve-music-video/ After watching this version, IDK. Originally I liked it, y'know, as it's clear Green Day's not taking themselves too serious, so I was trying to go the same route, but now ... I dunno. The random close ups of hard chick nipples just seemed so random, like, 'HERE'S SOME TITTAYZ W00T'. Which is fine for pretty much everything else, but when it comes to something I take as srsly as Green Day's music, I just ... I dunno, man. It's gonna take a fuckload of time for me to get used to this. Just ... Seems so unlike them, even with all the explanations people have come up with. And even with the semi nude shots that were in the JOS video. And the sex scene in the AI musical. And after I just totally accepted that this was gonna be a great series of albums, as well. Heh.

Brandon R. Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Great song, "meh" video. Not terrible, but not exactly mind blowing stuff.
BJA TC MD Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I am still yet to watch this video and I need to go out soon so I can't watch it for another couple hours. What's it like?
Dai. Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Hot chicks, tits, tattoos, the band looks cute, what's not to like?
wubbzy Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 It's not a very good video... I can imagine the planning process for it 'Hey guys we're really short of money so the budget for this video is $5' 'Alright, let's just film a bunch of people doing nothing, surely that won't cost much' 'mmmk' I've liked all the songs I've heard so far, Oh Love was good, Let Yourself Go was good, Kill the DJ is catchy is good although hearing it a couple of times it's a little repetitive. The video for Oh Love was sort of eh though, that's my personal opinion anyway and you know what they say...opinions are like assholes...
imabout2break Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 just saw the R version. looks like our guys had a real great time
