BringMoreKnives Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I want to hit Sam Bayer over the head with a frying pan.
Guest Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Missed the music video but I'm sure it's as boring as the song itself.
! Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 The video wasn't bad, just meh. I always like songs more once I watch the videos though.
blitzkriegdeb Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 So weird to think that this video was directed by the same guy who did Smells like Teen Spirit.
momoluvGD Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Lol. It's not THAT bad guys...it's just not the best. People on MTV are asking questions like crazy now. I did too....I was the first!
Guest Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I'm sorry, but where can I see the interview, since I'm assuming it's starting right now? And the music video was a failure Go to GDA, it's streaming live there.
Pieces of Truth Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 "He's kinda the fourth member" there you have it.
The Snark Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Holy scruffy Billie (and hot tattooed women) Batman! I like the slow, gritty feel of it..not all videos need to be flashy and tell a story. They cut out the questions to get back to Awkward! WTF. If MTV had a throat, I'd punch them in it.
Mauri Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 The Kill The DJ video seems better, at least Billie Joe is wearing a nice vest
valeriesername Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Go to GDA, it's streaming live there. Yeah, but it's not letting me watch it. Phooey
Brian Gag Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Luke "Diamond" Philips and I both said the preview looked like a Motley Crue video. I still stick to that.
DannyDirnt Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Live stream doesn't work. So yeah... the video must be... pretty boring Nooooo!!!!!!!!!! I wanna see it :angry Same exactly. Tried to convince myself I don't wanna watch it but I do!!
Starred Thoughts Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 If you think that was anything like porn you have a lot to learn my friend. lol I know it's a stretch.
Whatsername1911 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 MTV skipped the interview because its running behind?? Whattttt And as for the vid.... Meh.
Rusty Hart Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 the video music is over?? i just watch the interview now.... ??
Anja Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 uhm maybe Kill the DJ will be a better vid??? I wish it was a better song as well. I really like Oh love but Kill the DJ... Wish they had chosen Let yourself go. Or any other song that's not some plain vanilla radio stuff.
Ryan Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 BILLIE JUST SAID THAT JASON WAS THE 4TH MEMBER OF THE BAND DURING THE INTERVIEW!!!!!!!
aldyofficial Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 so Rock Star style.. they we're like having fun, and I was like, dafuq? x_X
PaulS Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 And, predictably, all that fuss was for nothing There's not a lot going on in the video, but I like that in a way. It's a return to videos like American Idiot, before Bayer disappeared up his ass with WMUWSE and Jesus of Suburbia. The performance itself is surprisingly energetic, and Billie is really going for it! Moreover, it strikes a good balance between hinting at sexiness, without becoming the brazen exploitation people feared. There's a definite air of seduction about the whole thing: the way the camera slowly and deliberately pans to each of the girls faces, giving the camera their fuck-me eyes. How perfect a match for the song is that? The band - family men and responsible adults - standing on the edge of this den of sin, daring themselves to fall in. Oh, and the bits towards the end with the band goofing off with the girls? Awesome. Billie giving us his own come-hither, and then a bubblegum Lady and the Tramp moment with one of the dancers! So demonstrative of a band as they ever were: fun, happy, and more given to messing around than succumbing to Shitty Videos 101, as proffered by their R'n'B contemporaries.
Silent Duck Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Looks like they filmed it in a crack den full of prostitutes high off their tits.
Mauri Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Someone probably already asked... but did the say if they'll be playing something live? Or the equipment in the back is just part of the set?
Trina Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Could someone please upload it to youtube as unfortunately none of the streams are working for my elderly laptop and I desperately want to see!!
