Prima Donna sucked as a support band. I saw them at two shows and almost nobody liked them. People just stood there waiting until they were finally done so Green Day would start.

The Living End. Or Frank Turner.

Yes, yes, yes! And for the German shows I'd like the Donots again, they were freakin' awesome. Their show was so great, I was already almost dead by the time Green Day started to play.

All Time Low, Deaf Havana, You Me At Six, Kids In Glass Houses.

Muse.

And Metallica. That seems very unlikely but I WOULD DIE!

Bad Religion, Weezer, Sum 41 and/or Zebrahead would be cool! :) Of course blink-182 would be like dream come true but I doubt that's gonna happen.

INWARD EYE!!! INWARD FUCKING EYE!!!!

They've opened for The Who, they've been on the Warped Tour and at Bamboozle, they're GREAT on their own, they have such amazing music, energy, passion, they'd be the PERFECT Green Day opener!!!

Prima Donna & The Biters.

Jet broke up.

Ahh yes, but Prima Donna supported them in London in 2009 and fortunately there was Foxies :D. It's not a guarantee of course but if he's around it increases the chances.

When I saw them support them I loved them and thought the crowd had bad taste :P. Although they are much better in a small venue. But I love them so I'm happy to see them any time even if the crowd is miserable.

MCR

either the strokes or the strokes or emily's army or the strokes.

The Strokes :D

I hope it's either a band I like or a band I've never heard of.

I wish the Kaiser Chiefs would go on tour with them again! Oh that would be awesome, since I really want to see them live and never did!

There's also an awesome pop band called Maniac that would be a great opener, they're awesome live. Or maybe it should just be The Boo.

Or Frank Turner.

Yes please.

My brother would love Sum 41 though, as they're like his favourite band... Shall be interesting to see the lineup.

I think I'd like that as well. I heard great things about their performance when they supported Green Day on the last tour. I'd love to see them live!

Cage the Elephant would be pretty awesome. They have the same energy and are awesome live just like GD.

ugh I love all of those bands but I so much prefer to see Alkaline Trio in clubs and theaters and not as an opener. they don't perform as well in amphitheaters imo. plus that'd be way too much for me emotionally on top of Green Day hahah (Alk3 is my other favorite band and I'd end up screaming my lungs out before GD even came on). The Gaslight Anthem could be cool!

and honestly I would hate it if MCR opened. I love them, but their fans line up just as early as GD fans and in my experience get REALLY rough in the pit, and I wouldn't want that kind of thing on top of already intense GD fans. Foxy Shazam would be cool, actually. I don't love them but they're fun.

Seriously? You do realize that a lot of MCR fans are also Green Day fans and will probably be at the show, lining up and moshing in the pit, regardless of whether MCR opens or not....If that's your only reason for not wanting them as an opener, it's pretty lame. Besides, if you think the pit's gonna be too rough for you, can always get a seat. That's what the pit is for, and you brave it at your own risk.

Since it can't be a big band that can headline shows by it's own I'd like to see Marianas Trench open for Green Day...

Actually, it can be; they just have to be not *as* big as Green Day. Most of the bands who have opened for Green Day in the past 8 years have been big enough to headline their own shows.

Then Blink 182 :P

But that will never happen after what Tre said for the other tour.Even thought Tom in 2009 said everything's fine between them.

Sorry for offending you, "gerard's angel"

I'm not concerned about the pit being 'too rough' for me, but I'd rather get to enjoy a show than not be able to breathe and be constantly pushed for two hours like I have when I've seen MCR. and yes I realize that GD and MCR's fanbases overlap a lot but in my experience MCR fans are a lot more aggressive.

also, I prefer to see MCR as a headliner. I like seeing them play longer sets and in smaller venues where the experience is more intimate.

My Chem can easily afford to do their own headlining tours and I think it'd be great if Green Day brought a smaller, less well-known band along on tour.

Well, given that AvA is supposed to be playing with them at one of their overseas shows, I'm going to assume that everything is, in fact, okay between them. But given the general sense of rivalry between both fandoms, I agree this is probably not a good idea.

Rancid! Not gonna happen, I know :(

Frank would be ace too! He played Wembley Stadium and rocked it so he can rock any other big arena/stadium as well!

If they take a big band and do a two headlining band tour then Foo Fighters (my second favorite band :))

And for a less popular band I would choose The Computers they are the mother-fuckin' shit... its a combination of old school rock and roll hardcore and punk... And they're fucking amazing live...
