This could perfectly be a Nimrod era song. And I would also suggest to listen to 80's rock bands because the only thing that could remind you of that is the black/white, old appearance of the video. Both the song and the band are just like always. sounds nothing like Nimrod. I have listened to it. It sucks.

Almost sounds like "You're over-feeling my patience again" but that just doesn't make sense. I'm pretty sure now that it's "you're fucking with my patience again". Can't get the end of that "you're the very thing I..." line at all though

I love how they're using the Les Paul Juniors for a less heavy distortion like on 21st century, but more of clean with the sharp twangy(ish) sound. And the artwork, whoever did that is amazing!!

It sounds NOTHING like what you say it sounds, and considering that I am 7 years older than you and, consequently, I have listened to more music than you and am more experienced, I would suggest you to stop making rush judgements and let the song grow inside you (or let yourself grow up). I am sorry if I sound a bit rude, but I am sick of people saying that Green Day sold out because of their new sound, and just when they go back to their old sound (as so many people here have said, so maybe you are the one with a wrong perspective), I am not willing to listen that they suck precisely now that they sound just like they used to.
