I was walking down the street a few days ago. And two boys behind me saw the concert dates I had written on my backpack. One of them was like: "What? Green Day? Didn't those guys break up about 10 years ago?" :lol:

A few days ago my mum walked into my room...

Mum: I just listened to the new Green Day single.

Me: Great, do you like it?

Mum: I'm not sure... are they kind of religious now?

Me: ...what??

Mum: Well, Billie kept on singing Oh Lord come over me. :S

I haven't laughed that much in ages. :lol: She was absolutely convinced as well. ^^

A kid once told me that he didn't like Green Day and I asked him why. His reply was that he didn't feel like they should have won a Nickelodeon Kids Choice award because they used to do drugs and stuff. My response was that I'm sure none of the other bands that have ever won that ever did drugs. Very sarcastically, of course.

Another time when I was in a music store in a mall I was looking at the Green Day CDs and a couple kids were behind me looking at posters. I heard one of them say "Who would buy a Green Day poster, anyway?" I turned around and one of them was looking at me so I gave him an angry look and walked away. :lol:

A friend of mine did when looking at a 21st Century Breakdown era photo of Green Day. :mad: NO ONE says that any member of Green Day looks old!!

Once my mom and I were discussing Green Day and ended up talking about Billie which led to my mom shouting HE'S CLOSER TO MY AGE!! I forget what we were debating, but she won :lol:

My grandma (the one we actually ignore now but not because of this XD) refers to Billie as the "guy who shows his bum"
