Not playing songs off shenanigans? [meoutube.com/watch?v=vniciBV6D5E&featec is this on shenanigans?

That's not on Shenanigans.

And also there's the fact that that's the only version that exists, there's no studio version.

When dis they play favorite son?

I'm almost sure that they play it in the soundcheck of Nokia Plaza Show in 2009. Plus almost all Dookie. GDA has a post about that.

That is the studio version, from the warning single. It doesnt say its live on the single case

I would kill to hear Rotting and Deadbeat Holiday live.

Favorite son was played at nokia. I was at that show. So was sassafras, half of having a blast, pulling teeth, etc.

It was played at some MTV shit or something. It's not, like, live live, but it wasn't like, recording studio either. Think Abbey Road (not the album, the show that Green Day played).

Westbound Sign in 94? Song didn't come out until 1995. hMM,.

A band can play a song live before its officially released?

Do you have audio of this? Id like to have both

I wasn't actually at that show so I don't know when it happened, I just heard about it.

Yeah, I was just going to post that! I was shocked when Billie started singing it and he got a few lines in and then kind of messed it up! :D

Do you remember when he did it? It says on setlist.fm that it was right before/during Nice Guys Finish Last but I've seen the footage from that bit and there's no deviation from the song to Poprocks & Coke

I really think that everything from 39/Kerplunk has been played at least once.

But really, there are some albums that aren't meant to be played live.

Think Shenanigans, Linkin Park's Reanimation(Even if most of the intros have found their way into songs), and System's Steal This Album!(I would pay 1000 bucks to see them play it as a whole in a show).

Yep, it was right before Waiting! I know this because I started recording it after he started singing it and then he went and messed it up! :P Then, they went straight into Waiting!

i wonder if the reason they havent done no one knows or panic song is because how ridiculous it would be to play those bass parts live. i dont underestimate mike but i dont think its something he could play out of the blue, he would need to be prepared for those two

accorind to setlist.fm, these are the ones they have never played at all. Wouldn't this be an interesting show? It seems they've done a good job at playing just about every song from every album, except for shenanigans and they just haven't had time to play the ones from DOS and TRE yet.

They've played Lazy Bones and I Want to Be on TV. I think Lazy Bones was played at Webster Hall 2011. Am I right?

And of course they played Strangeland, probably a million times in 88.

I don't think Lazy Bones was ever played live. Could be wrong.

Well, they did do a couple of lines of Poprocks & Coke in Glasgow in 2010.

I don't know if this has been mentioned in this thread yet, but they also did a couple lines of Tight Wad Hill in Los Angeles 2009-

There's a lot.

Album wise:

Nothing off Shenanigans has ever been played.

Song wise:

Misery (Played once for TV but the tape was never released)

No One Knows

Yeah like I said there's a lot....I can't think of more lol

Ha Ha You're Dead from Shenanigans was played once but we don't have a video for it, and there's a video on YouTube of a bit of Misery being played at a 2009/2010 soundcheck.

Is there any video where they play Poprocks & Coke though?

Yeah, I think someone mentioned it above.

I had a sign with Tight Wad Hill on it in Dublin and Germany and Billie just looked at it, laughed, and shook his head...like: 'Ehhh, as if!'

Bastard.

What about Haushinka? I'm sure they must have played that, but I've never found a video anywhere.

You're not looking hard enough. Theres a fake video with real audio. Thats it

I would love to hear Lazy Bones live.

There's no video footage of GD playing that song, but there used to be audio here at GDC (before megaupload was taken down) from a performance in 1992 in Berkeley, CA.

Mike is more than capable of playing No one knows live, i could and i've only played bass a few years. I could see panic song being tricky just cos the the fast repetetive strum that goes on for ages!

Yeah, like i said, i'm not underestimating him at all, he IS more than capable of it but green day's shows are pretty high energy and really the only songs they slow down for are 21 guns, wake me up,good riddance etc. no one knows just wouldnt really work
