Sarcasm Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 A Norwegian radiostation is giving out tickets if you answer "what's your favorite song by the band". Send it to p3musikkonk@nrk.no Spam the fuckers. Win it!

Annie, get your gun Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Cool interview. Billie talks about the Beatles saying if you don't like them is like, you don't like air... Well, I feel the same way about Green Day!
karma1215 Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Sorum, who was also the sticksman for Guns N' Roses for seven years until he was fired in 1997, said that Armstrong's initial rant – which took place during the band's performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival – had been "punk rock", but insisted the frontman had ruined it by apologizing for his actions. Speaking on Twitter, he said:I thought Billy Joe Armstrongs Rant was the most punk rock thing he has ever done. Then he had to go and ruin it by apologizing. Corporate Rock is alive and well. Never really bought that band anyway.http://www.nme.com/news/velvet-revolver/66343I don't think Billie ever apologized for anything he's ever done... that's why I can't believe the story that he apologized... right or wrong... unless their some quotations behind that statement from the man himself that apology means nothing...
romie1415 Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 I saw this earlier this morning and it kind of pissed me off. Thought maybe we could incur the wrath of Green Day fans on these guys: http://www.spin.com/...e-joe-armstrong

blitzkriegdeb Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 I saw this earlier this morning and it kind of pissed me off. Thought maybe we could incur the wrath of Green Day fans on these guys: http://www.spin.com/...e-joe-armstrong I wouldn't get too worked up about it. They'll always be people & bands who talk shit about Green Day, it's been going on for as long as they've been around. I get that it's kind of a shit time to talk about him, but it's really nothing to fuss about.
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Pathetic idiots say two or three sentences trying to ridicule Billie and Green Day and use that as the header on their tour update to grab attention. It is totally low and uneducated to make cheap jokes about people with addictions of any sort and to suggest that he was simply "having a tantrum" is unspeakably childish on their part. I think it is clear to anyone with eyes/ears and a brain cell that Billie has problems that are not associated with being a "rock star" or "rich" and it sickens me to see such pathetic suggestions. I for one would rather see him healthy and boring (not that that would ever happen!) than dead and looking like a "punk" (this is also in reference to Matt Sorum, The Offspring and Fat Mike who seem to think it's better to be "punk rock" than healthy)...Dee Dee Ramone probably looked really punk rock in his coffin. Can anybody just wish Billie well and leave it at that?!! :angry
The Grohl Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 I wouldn't get too worked up about it. I get that it's kind of a shit time to talk about him, but it's really nothing to fuss about. Yeah I get a lot of shit for liking the band, especailly since I dare like their albums after Dookie and yeah it can be annoying, but whatever. I don't let it bother me because I think the band is great There'll always be haters out there.

whatserbmae Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Exclusive interview from Norway! Why the fuck are they there? Or are the interview girl over where they are? Who knows. http://p3.no/musikk/ja-til-alt/ I've been waiting for this interview, as I heard Lydverket was over there back when they invited press to listen to the albums in LA. Thanks for posting!
EvanAsFuck Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 So...they're re-releasing all of Green Day on colored vinyl? Sounds cool. Next up, Nimrod. I don't think they'll be doing every GD record (at least not the Lookout! ones). But my hopes are up for Nimrod on yellow vinyl!
deathtofalsesushi Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Matt Sorum is just bitter because in Billie's speech at the R&R Hall of Fame induction ceremony, he couldn't come up with a damn thing that Matt contributed to GNR.

wubbzy Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Why is it that everywhere that the whole substance abuse thing is being covered they keep saying he's in rehab? It has never been said officially anywhere. All that has been said on the manner, and I quote, is: Billie Joe is seeking treatment for substance abuse. We would like everyone to know that our set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those we offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. We regretfully must postpone some of our upcoming promotional appearances.
Gloria_93xx Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Hi guys! I'm a new member, but I've read several GDC forums in the last months and I never saw somebody writing anything about Billie Joe's newest TATTOOS: a skull and three stars on the right arm. If you haven't noticed it yet, take a look! http://www.google.it/imgres?q=green+day+reading+leeds&um=1&hl=it&sa=N&biw=1365&bih=580&tbm=isch&tbnid=SbwGEjtmlILhSM:&imgrefurl=http://www.bbc.co.uk/events/efmhzc/acts/ag9rbp&docid=iQgTHynqb2ndlM&imgurl=http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/images/ic/864x486/p00xv6g9.jpg&w=864&h=486&ei=uLtlUPSZPMnRtAaYtoGoCQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=281&sig=107725505445551663171&page=1&tbnh=87&tbnw=155&start=0&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0,i:93&tx=116&ty=27 Rage and Love
k-ramba Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 http://www.cracked.c...-meltdown-ever/ I'm not familiar with cracked.com, is it trying to be ironical? Or is it just stupid? Barely read something as pathetic as this piece of journalistic shitwork. According to cracked.com I can proudly say now: "I've been around since 1997 because I starred in a high class documentary about kids spending their holiday on farms!"

I like Cracked because it has funny articles, but it's a bunch of different internet writers contributing to the site, so when someone writes about Green Day they usually don't like the band in the first place.
Trina Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Hey guys , Check out my brother's review (including a track-by-track analysis) of Uno! here: http://notfeatured.c...bum-review-uno/ It's a cool read! Also, this may have been posted somewhere but Mumford and Sons mention Green Day in this new NME article here: http://www.nme.com/n...and-sons/66337" "Speaking to NME about bagging the Number One slot, multi-instrumentalist Ted Dwane said: "Number Two was the best we got with 'Sigh No More' so it would be amazing. Obviously no-one's going to wish against a Number One record but I know Green Day and Muse have albums out and they’re pretty big hitters. If you told me in the '90s that I’d be in a chart battle with Green Day, I probably would have just laughed at you." " Green Day will apparently be in the new 60th birthday issue of NME: " It's also packed with interviews from Kasabian, Green Day, Biffy Clyro and Beth Ditto talking through their favourite ever NME covers. " Also Zebrahead posted on FB about listening to the new album: "just bought green day's new album "uno" on itunes. Listening and being happy. @GreenDay @BJAofficial #todayisagoodday" Edit: Oh, btw Uno! came in at #3 today on Ireland's weekly album chart. Not bad considering the messy single releases but I was hoping for numero uno . Mumford and Sons and The Script bet them to it. Should we open a thread about chart performance? I'm interested how we're doing elsewhere..
