The thing is Wrestling site's post a lot of crap. I owned one not to long ago lol. But sightings and backstage stuff they are often correct on. Mainly because there's people who hang about the hotels looking for info.

Where/when have the sightings been? Is there a possibility it's people making it up since the wrestling websites have posted that?

some people on twitter says that the new WWE song is gonna be a Green Day song, and that GD are gonna play it tonight.. but idk, can that be true? i mean it CAN'T be Oh Love. i looove that song but it wouldnt fit for WWE XD

Green Day song not the new theme song

WWE issued the following press release today:

STAMFORD, Conn., July 23, 2012 – WWE® (NYSE: WWE) today announced Outasight’s chart-topping single “Tonight Is The Night” as the official theme song of its 1000th episode of Monday Night Raw. The song will be integrated into the telecast tonight at 8/7C on USA Network.

There's what the wrestling websites on the first page posted, but I dunno if they're reliable or not. Someone else probably knows better.

NO! :( They really aren't, if it was Lords of Pain or something, that one has a better batting average. But yeah, 99% of Wrestlezone reports get laughed at. I should have kno-o-o-wn

Also not reliable. That's pretty much wikipedia

But to be fair, this is a one time only theme song.

Yes, that is what I thought too. One time only.

Ok, well that song is highly unlikely to be used as the theme after tonight. It's terrible and really doesn't get you excited for starters. One source has reported a Green Day sighting which seems a little odd to me however it would be the perfect time to promote the new album. Plus let me tell you this, WWE will struggle to fill 3 hours, so they are most likely to get some big performers in to pass time. Green Day would be a good call with the new albums etc. It all seems to add up to me however you just never know really. Seems like the right type of show though. Attract's a lot of kids plus a lot of adult men, (Not to say Green Day aren't female friendly) Watch the show with out the expectation that GD will be there and finger's crossed we shall all be pleasantly surprised.

Amazing news if true. I love Pro Wrestling though it sucks now compared to the 80's/90's. Wrestling fans usually have shitty taste in music and like whatever bands WWE are promoting at the time. If Green Day plays this will be the best band that has been live on RAW since Motley Crue back in 98 or so.

Well the billboard article did mention that major tv appearances will have a key role in the promotion of the albums, so that makes this rumor a little stronger.. Let's wait and see!

It's one of those kind of things for me that if I watch it they won't be on but if I don't, they will. But dammit if they are and I miss, I'll be really pissed. So wishy-washy about this now.

Usually when I tell people I like wrestling, they laugh & tell me that it's fake. I then remind them that movies/tv are fake as well it's all entertainment. The difference being that while the outcomes are predetermined ,the physicality is pretty real. Try telling Brock Lesnar or Kurt Angle that Pro Wrestling is fake with the numerous injuries that they and many others have suffered.

Tens of millions of people around the world will see RAW 1000 tonight. It would be fantastic promotion for Green Day, reaching out to such a diverse audience.

Finger's crossed they are the last act to play as if suggested MGM or whatever they are called will be booed the hell out of as fans generally don't like that sorta music. They'll appreciate Green Day a little more if a shitty act has come on beforehand.

It could be just a shot of them front row in the crowd if they are actually there, with a plug about the new single/albums from one of the commentators. They don't seem like the kinda guys who'd sit down for three hours to watch wrestling though!

Exactly what I thought.

Why can't Billie just tweet about it or something? Let us know the truth! :P

Edge, Stone Cold and many others with their BROKEN FREAKING NECKS!!!

Yeah, most people I talk to think they only get injured if they make a mistake. Not the case sadly. ANYWAY, Motley Crue were on RAW???

Something along the lines of:

Arrived in St.Louis. About to watch oiled up naked men hug each other for 3 hours. Tre is excited. Hashtag whatever

Nah, if they're there and not performing, they're in a private suite drinking, eating and schmoozing.

And DAMN if I'd know earlier, I'd have go there and worked. My company does the food service. Shoot!!!!!!!!

Hahaha now I'm too curious to not watch tonight. My brother in-law, who happens to be a die hard wrestling fan, is gonna be wondering why I'll be watching this with him tonight

Plus, RAW can actually be decent. Sometimes.

We'll know before the show if they are playing as I'm thinking their equipment would have to be set up on the side of the entrance ramp or something like that.
