do we actually have that? :o

I hope so. If not alert Flo.

I love the 3D look. It's so different and exciting now. I love Oh Love, although it's likely not going to be my favourite off Uno.

Those who didn't like it can go fuck themselves. Whatever. Everyone has different tastes and opinions -_-

It doesn't sound like anything.

When the albums were first announced there was speculation about it being yet ANOTHER concept thing (Green Day, we love you guys, but...) or if they would just go back to their 'old school' roots. IMO, they have done neither. The absolute closest I can compare it to is Foxboro Hot Tubs with a dash of Nimrod era Green Day, but like I said, it's different to everything else.

I was waiting for the song to 'kick in' with some explosive riff or whatever a la St Jimmy, but it didn't and I'm fine with that. Green Day's current mood fits my new mood. Laid back :toocool:

I really enjoyed the song. Very catchy.

I can't wait to hear the rest of Uno! because I ALWAYS hate the first single. Always. No matter what band or album it is. I can't help it.

What is with the claims of auto-tune? I don't hear any of it. Compare this to "Church on Sunday's" final chorus which certainly has some pitch correction (even though I love the song). Oh Love seems to be free of that. That falsetto in the bridge seems at most like it was spliced in, but even then, remember BJ had broadway vocal training two years ago, so that may be why the vocals are cleaner.

Regardless, I like it. It reminds me of Cheep Trick meets AC/DC meets The Who, although I still think that we'll have to wait for "let yourself go" and/or "Kill the DJ" before non-green day fans realize this really is a new sound they're aiming for.

why does always people compare music with what's been made before? this has always provoked me. "the bands draws strong connections to the mid70' sound of the Beatles and blablablablablablabla".

I don't care if it's true, it's uninteresting like this post I'm writing. Doesn't mean shit what the music resembles, it's already made. The band won't read the review and think, "fuck, the beatles?" and change the record.

I didn't mean to suggest it WONT be a radio hit, I'm just saying the length of it could be the only reason. Because it's good enough to be a hit otherwise.

What radio station did you hear it on? I have been checking every damn one in NY, and I still haven't found it.

If everyone has different tastes and opinions, why do they need to go fuck themselves?

Loved the song. Took it to the car and gave it the "drive test." Super Epic.

i love this song! its still sounds like green day but different. If people think this is the best that they can offer you better think again!

they are just teasing us you guys, so that we can warm up to this new style. If they would release Kill The DJ or some similair song people

would probably be like wtf is this gd. sellouts!! or something +Oh Love seems like a grower

The only reason this won't be a radio hit is because it's 5 minutes. But No Doubt's new single is 6 minutes, so at least we're not as screwed as they are, the dumbfucks :P

but i guess they'll make a radio edit - or already have a radio edit - which is about 2 minutes shorter ;)

I listened to it 25 times. Should I keep going?

This is exactly what I was trying to describe with my first post. Holy fucking shit, what is wrong with you?

Do you feel personally attacked just because there are people here who don't like the song? Wow... You even say "everyone has different opinions" and that's exactly the point. Or do you see me posting "Everyone who likes the song sucks." ? I don't think so...

Good thing we're all being mature here.

The instrumental behind the song is fine, and Billie sounds alright but when it's just his voice and the guitar it would probably sound better if he actually pronounced the words. The lyrics don't really make sense to me...but whatever, hopefully it will grow on me. It's only the first single so I wasn't expecting to be blown away. Not great, but not terrible either.

Yes. Always.

Hang in there buddy.

That's the stupidest thing I've read today.

Care to elaborate that? You of all people should know how meaningful it is to state something without giving an explanation.

Yes. I don't know how many times I've listened to it anymore. Haha.

I imagine driving in "drive by"speed to this song.

Is this long for the radio?

Yep. Most songs only get like 3 or maximum 4 minutes of airtime. But this isn't the radio edit, that will be shorter.

Is this long for the radio?

yeah the songs on the radio are usually just about 3 minutes or maybe a bit longer, but Oh Love is 5 minutes long...but i'm sure there's either a radio edit or the radio stations have to get used to this :D

i love this song...not my favorite...not goos as others green day songs...but...i love Oh Love

I feel sorry that I said that this way. It just came out in the heat of the moment. I tried editing it but my phone was being a bitch. Yeah everyones entitled to different opinions and we should respect that. I'm terribly sorry. If someone can delete or edit that post, I'll be glad.

Yes, I'm at about 50ish, I'm still not bored
