WestboundSign! Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Nobody wants to see three 40 year old guys naked Ok girls hold your orgasms I know you're gonna say "I would"... I sometimes wonder if I'm the only one thinking the same It's just like.. I think they're attractive and all. But still, they're 40 years old and are parents. I guess I would mind my dad filming a music video in his underwear After all, they can do whatever they want and that's how it should be!

I love the guys, think they're very handsome, and it's not like it matters anyway, I like the group for their music, not their looks. But from what I've seen of them below the neck (and with Billie and Tre, that's everything) ... I'm cool with them keeping their clothes on. Not like I'm one to talk, but I think they can make a great video clothed!

pisquano Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 I'm disappointed this hasn't been a hit, it's really flopping.
lizziebix Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 I'm disappointed this hasn't been a hit, it's really flopping. Hopefully that will change once the video comes out.
Fuzz Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 I'm disappointed this hasn't been a hit, it's really flopping. I haven't seen any charts. Why do you say that?
Amanda Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 According to this they are No.1 in the Billboard Rock chart. http://rock.about.com/od/charts/tp/Top-10-Billboard-Rock-Songs-August-18-2012.htm Apparently they went in two weeks ago at No.1, then No.2 last week, now No.1 again. Hardly a flop.
Annie, get your gun Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Thank you! Really excited for the music video and the interview. Next week is going to be great! You're welcome! Billie's tweet make me SO EXCITED!!!
pisquano Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 I haven't seen any charts. Why do you say that? Since it's the first single from a new Green Day album, which is something highly anticipated, we can say people don't feel this song (though I personally love it). Take Know Your Enemy into consideration: in its first week it debuted in the top 40 of the Hot 100 (eventually peaking at #28), which is a really good result considering that the Hot 100 combines airplay and digital sales (you know, in its first week the song has not received a lot of airplay yet, so the position on the Hot 100 is mainly due to digital sales). In its first week, Oh Love debuted outside the Hot 100. The same for the other countries, just compare the data to Know Your Enemy. It's true, the video has not been released yet and Oh Love will probably make the Hot 100 next week, but it is far from the success Know Your Enemy met with. To give some numbers, Know Your Enemy sold something like 50 000 units in its first week whilst I'm not sure if Oh Love managed to reach 10 000 units sold. I know many of GDCers don't care about sales and stuff, but I do and I'm disappointed by those figures, just because I feel that it's a good song.

I know what you mean, in the sense that I definitely don't think a lot of people know the song exists or that they're back. Hopefully the video or KTDJ will change that.
Sanity Loan Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 I got the "Oh Love" EP delivered today. The bonus tracks are not live like we originally thought. And they're the clean versions...
1039SweetChildren Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Got mine too... Seriously the most useless EP ever, but oh well.
Zelda Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 I got the "Oh Love" EP delivered today. The bonus tracks are not live like we originally thought. And they're the clean versions... Censored? Fucking hell...oh well, I'd still buy it.
Heather. Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 That's comically useless for a hardcore fan But a nice item for the shelf, never to be used!
gloria123 Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 you can now buy the EP at Walmart for $5 http://www.walmart.com/ip/21270362#About+the+Album
yourguitarbuddy Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Can someone PM me the Mp3 of the EP? Me too
ParadoxAndPlaid Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Am I the only one a little alarmed and uncomfortable with them having a Walmart exclusive single ep? (I haven't been posted in ages, just lurking, so sorry if this has been discussed) This does not feel right to me. Especially after what was said during 21CB. Why the sudden change? School, work and some other personal circumstances has kept me really busy...have I missed an article or an interview where they talk about this?
