lizziebix Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I can really see a stadium of fans singing and swaying their arms to this song. Should be a great moment live.

valeriesername Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 ok, so i have requested oh love to my local radio station for like 5 times already since this morning, and they have not played it once. And the sad part is, is that this is the only rock station around here. There's a classic rock station, but i doubt they'll play it.
Soo Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Don't know if anyone has mentioned it but I was just reading the top comment on the GD Youtube page that Oh Love was premiered 1 day, 2 months and 3 years after 21CB was released! That's kind of cool!
Guest Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 GET IT SORTED, UK iTUNES. This I'm getting quite frustrated now.

Smoothed Out Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 It took me a few listens I have to admit, but I'm starting to love it. Apart from the fact once it's on the brain, it's there. And I mean stuck. I absolutely adore the key change during "talk myself out of falling in love"
Heather. Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 WTF is wrong with humanity--- No Doubt's single is #5 on iTunes, and Oh Love is #59. I give up, I'll just sit back, listen to Oh Love, and be filled with more happiness than all these weirdos buying the wrong song

We'll need to settle for being warm'n'happy in the minority. Good quality rock will surface again when the public gets tired of the current junk-food pop trends. That simply can't last for much longer, can it?
Heather. Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Listening to it on the radio right now! What station in NJ?
jtdscape Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 What station in NJ? New Rock 101.9 which is broadcasted from NYC. They finally revived RXP!
jtdscape Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Im pretty surprised that it's still that far back on the charts... I was expecting it to be in the top 20 by now.

farley drexel hatcher Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Did anyone else see this comment on the Rolling Stone review of the song? I thought it was kind of odd...and funny. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion obviously, I'm just not sure what this person expects, a song about groupies when they've been married for 18 years? Wow what. Why should that bother anyone? What an idiot. We don't know what or who the song is about yet but even if we did, why should anyone care? Sounds like a jealous creep.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion obviously, I'm just not sure what this person expects, a song about groupies when they've been married for 18 years? That's pathetic - it may well be about his wife but it's written in a decent way, unlike some music about love/sex....
Heather. Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Im pretty surprised that it's still that far back on the charts... I was expecting it to be in the top 20 by now. I'm surprised too---I remember KYE jumped pretty quickly just because people were so starved for Green Day. And this is so much more of a pop song. It jumped from 130 to 100 to 70 relatively quickly, but it's already at a very slow climb since then. Hopefully it's one of those songs that just needs to simmer a bit. I wonder if there's a glitch in iTunes because I purchased the song before it was technically available (before you could actually click on the song, but could still click "buy"), maybe they didn't record all those purchases or something.
1039SweetChildren Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Im pretty surprised that it's still that far back on the charts... I was expecting it to be in the top 20 by now. If it had an ad, it definitely would be... Not sure why Reprise would pass that up.
WhatserKinx Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Some of you guys are complaining that you don't have an ad? We don't have the song!
Heather. Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 From http://www.mtv.com/n...otch-area.jhtml Check out the video there! (The MTV website frequently blocks people in other countries.... not sure if that's the case now but I apologize on their behalf if you're outside North America and can't see it ) Billie Joe Armstrong: ‘Oh Love’ is kind of like leading with your heart and not necessarily with your brain as much, and [also] kind of maybe losing your mind, and shooting a little bit more from the crotch area. It’s more of a fun atmosphere with these next records, going into more of a party thing, almost kind of a ‘hell party,’ We have one song called ‘Makeout Party,’ which the events actually occurred. And that’s almost what the next video for ‘Oh Love’ is sort of like. So, it’s going to be a lot of fun touring this next cycle and bringing it to people live. Mike Dirnt: It pulls from the heartstrings, and it’s about love and sexual tension and things like that; that said, I think the video is gonna tip its hat in those directions, I know we’ve got some real fun scenes that might involve motorcycles and us playing live and possibly some chaos backstage and things like that.
Laura! Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 http://www.mtv.com/v...k-oh-love.jhtml New interview from MTV! Billie and Mike talk about the Oh Love video. Ahh, Mercury! You beat me!
melissawebster Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I think August 13th is when the next single is released. Ha! It's hard keeping up with all these dates, but I'm sure GDA and GreenDay.com will keep us posted.
