At first I was so pumped for it and kept waiting for it to build into something (as Ben said) and that never happened. So I was slightly disappointed. Until I realized that 2 hours later, after only one listen, I was still humming the song. It got me. It's catchy and I think I like it. Maybe not my favorite, maybe not their best, but I like and hope it does well. As to the hater bashers, they have the right to their opinion here just as the likers do. Don't beat them down. It's their right to voice their opinion. That's what makes GDC so great.

It's really back to basics with this song. Buuut, it's a very long song, and I kept waiting for a different sound, I don't know how to explain it, I was waiting for the song to start. Overall it's an amazing song, and I can't wait for more! <3

Just have to wait. I have a feeling the singles will end up being like on 21st CB. There's going to be the people who are like "Oh my god this is amazing! These singles were absolutely perfect choices!" and then there's going to be those who are going to say "I would have replaced _____ with _____ as a single instead, but the single choices aren't really too bad otherwise." -------------- I'm kinda feeling the same as most people seem to be saying where I'm not necessarily on the bandwagon of "OH MY GOD!", but I'm not at "....oh dear god......" either. I didn't have a set idea on the songs sound (I hadn't heard anything from the live clips), but at the same time I was kinda expecting more from it. Not my favorite but I still like it

I've really enjoyed No Doubt's stuff in the past, but their new single is one *serious* WTF. I shut it off after about 2-1/2 minutes. I love No Doubt. I liked their new single Settle Down, it's fun and kind of catchy, but I think it might need to grow on me. I don't love it, but it is enjoyable. But Green Day..... They totally won, hands down. I am so in love with Oh Love. I hope it does well too, because I want everyone who hasn't already to give GD a chance and become fans. I don't love every GD song, and some that I really dislike seem to be fan favorites, but we all have different taste. It's all good. Though I must say: I think almost everyone who doesn't love Oh Love already will start to like it. I'm pretty sure it will grow on people, and they'll end up at least liking it. I hope! Haha! Malleus Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Oh Love is amazing. Holy fuck. Great song. Definitely worth the wait. Green Day is doing everything right this time around. Even if Oh Love wasn't that great (and my personal opinion is that it's pretty fucking sweet), just the fact that we have some new solid Green Day to enjoy is just awesome. No snippets, no trailers, just a 5 minute long song. The trilogy is going to kick so much ass.
