That's a great song. The whole new sound, the whole new Green Day :) I understand people who aren't completely into this song, because, well, it's... different. But to me that's a unique, extremely catchy and such a lovely song, I can imagine it making me happy after a bad day :)

I am very excited about what the music video will look like, and what more iUNO! has to offer :)

Lol, I don't post here too often, but it is a special occassion for sure

Did you notice the sexy Yeahhhh in the background of the song at 1:23 -1:24?

I love it! :creep:

But it's not like Broadway popped his live cherry. Billie's been singing since like 1987, I think he's found his style already.

Of course, but going on Broadway was a complete new experience for him and it surely made him alter his style a bit, at least I can hear a difference between this and American Idiot.

AMAZING. JUST AMAZING.

I mean Green Day has crossed all limits of being awesome.

WHY IS SEPTEMBER 25 SO FAR AWAY?

Those who didn't like it can go fuck themselves. Whatever. Everyone has different tastes and opinions -_-

I have been saying the same thing to people who diss Green Day for the last 15 years. Totally and completely mature :toocool:

j/k

It's a fucking solid song. That's all there is to it.

Don't know why there is this "yeah" after the first refrain. Lyrics are not something great, but the music is a perfection!!! Especially I love the sound that's growing up from the middle of the chorus. And the moment "Talk myself out of falling in love" is very touching!

Oh, Love!

I understand people not liking it, in the same way that I don't like East Jesus Nowhere and everyone else does---sometimes, you just don't like a song. I just feel bad for the people who don't like it, as I feel bad for myself for disliking EJN. We all have to be disappointed at some point, and my time may come later, but for now, us Oh Lovers can enjoy ourselves.

Oh God the haters are so freaking annoying -.-

Just heard Oh Love for the 2nd time on the radio. The presenters compared the song with Holiday and Dookie and state that Oh Love is kind of boring to what we usually hear from Green Day. But one of them admitted that the song does have something that might be caught in your head after a few listens by which listeners may start to think "wait a second, this song is pretty damn good!"

I guess they are giving it a fair chance to show its potential on the radio.

Oh I noticed that they made the song a bit shorter for the radio (and probably will as well for the video) by cutting off the first guitar part after the bridge (after the solo it cuts directly to "Oh love oh love") and not repeating the chorus at the end.

I won't change my opinion on the song. I fucking love it. And I don't mind people not liking it, I am sure they will find their song on the new album(s) eventually.

It's not about his style of singing. It's about his already awesome voice improving and learning new techniques and pushing it. Do you really think his voice hasn't improved since 1987?

Favorite part: All the Losers, and choosers.

It feels really new and unexpected - love that, it has that freed-up Foxboro thing to it. Big thing is the vocal, so clear and close and expressive, and btw, I fucking love the lyrics - they're all edgey and angular, straight-up and mysterious at the same time. Also, completely obvious that this is both a now-song and the middle of a story, 'cause it's full of what-ifs, hopes and romantic dreams all mixed up with cynicism and despair. Don't you totally wanna know what's gonna happen this 'tonite', when all of it comes together?? Fuck, yeah!!

I like it that it's somehow low-key and epic at the same time, like it that it's not kind of obvious - that gives it that off-beat, slouchy Foxboro vibe too. Influences are upfront and unapologetic, again a Foxboro thing - I'd go 'All Right Now' for the verses, feel like 'The Great Pretender' vibe in the chorus is more of a reference. Beautiful, soaring-over bridge is all Green Day. Fucking love this song - it's full of everything.

K, and on a personal note, I didn't get to hear this song at the 'appointed time', because right then I was at the pound being reunited with my dog who'd been missing for six fucking weeks - pretty fucking emotional day, all in all, and all so fucking GREAT!!!

Oh just recalled the "talk myself out of.." from the studio update where Billie was recording his vocals. But I am sure this has already been spotted and mentioned :P

No, since2004-5. the thing with 1987 was to illustrate how long he actually has sung live. Sung? doesn't sound right.

i love the song. and my neighbours like it too (I hope they like it), they had to listen to this song since almost three hours :P

I'm not the only one who misses the "Don't stop under my touch" line from the live version am I?

How long he has been singing live. But I agree. He sure has a lot of stage experience, but on Broadway he could have improved his vocal skills. There is always room to improve
