Well my hope for the bay area run is that they add a 3rd show. Normally the bay gets 2 in 1 leg, they could squeeze in one more I'm sure. :)

I second that!!

And what about Canada?!

Third that! Maybe one in the East Bay, Mountain View (Shoreline), and in the City itself?

So excited!

Maybe San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose, ATT Park, O.CO and HP Pavilion. That would be my dream bay area lineup. The Shoreline was a little odd cause it had no GA and for a closeout show I expected maybe Oakland or something. :ermm:

Yeah, those would be nice too. I just mention Shoreline because they played there last tour. It's also a plus since I wouldn't have to sit in a ton of traffic after going over the hill, but that's just my own selfish reasoning  And I totally agree with it being an odd venue. When I heard they were playing there I thought it was a joke. But in all honestly, I don't really care WHERE it is, just as long as I'm there.

ATT Park would also be nice. I saw them there back in '05 and to this day it's still my favorite show of all time.

I wonder what kind of venues they'll be playing this time around...

Oh its ok lol. For me it wouldn't matter where I saw either as long as I saw them. ATT Park 2005 was and is still the biggest show they've done in the bay, the floor looked so massive from I've seen in those pictures.

Its my dream concert.

Yeah, it was pretty fucking epic! Even if I did have the worst possible seats, I still had a blast. And I'm not even exaggerating when I say "worst". In the picture you posted, I was even further to the left at the far tip of the diamond on the very, very end of the corner. Yeah...pretty terrible.

But I guess there's really no such thing as a bad seat when it comes to their shows.

Yay! Unsure if he means all those countries are before us, though. That would go against what Billboard said. =/

They are before, there are already dates for Germany, France and Italy so that's what he's referring to. :P Pretty sure USA tour will still be Nov-Jan.

Oh, shit, you're right. I was assuming he was referring to full tours for each of those nations.

I hope there's a Detroit or other midwest date before I leave for study abroad in the middle of January eeek.

I wish they'd play an Indianapolis show. Heck, I'd even take Cincinnati or Columbus (or Dayton). I don't think Fort Wayne seems very likely, though. Has Fort Wayne ever had anyone play there?

I dont think Green Day has ever played in Fort Wayne. Thats 2 hours from where I live so, it'd be epic to see them there. It feels great to know that there are other people in Northern Indiana that want Green Day to come here. ^_^

When my friends and I saw American Idiot in Detroit, it, seriously, was basically the ONLY day this winter where we had a legit snow STORM and not just flurries and shit. It was fucking terrible but son of a bitch, we made it We were not going to be deterred!

...

I'm not in school anymore so I don't have to worry about this, but I hope for my friends' sakes, they don't come around here during finals week. That's all I ask! The band fucked me over with their 2010 tour by playing the first day of classes, so, come on!

I know I'm late, but I just saw this... oh my God, that day was so miserable, but oh so worth it. And honestly, I'm totally fine with a November-January tour, considering I'll have little to no responsibility until I actually find a job after my December graduation and I'm clearly not deterred by winter weather.

But, if by some horrible fate, they come to Ohio the day I graduate, I will seriously die. That would be my fucking luck. But who am I kidding? They're probably not coming to Ohio anyway. :sorry:

Oh hell no, they ain't coming to Ohio because apparently we suck . We didn't suck in '05, but ever since then, yeah, fuck us. I'd like them to play Detroit (pretty much a given) and either Cleveland or Columbus, but if they don't, fuck it, I'll go to Chicago.

Like I said, me having no responsibility = me driving wherever I have to go to see them AT LEAST once. Detroit is pretty much a given since I'll be in Bowling Green. Any others are just added bonuses, I suppose (provided my lovely fiance supports my crazy decisions and goes with me!).

Yeah, me not having a full-time job and living at home (meaning my meager funds from said part-time job don't have to go toward, yknow, living expenses ) means it'll be easier to travel!

I was hoping Monday they'd announce dates, but I doubt they will now that the show is happening. Bummer.

I was thinking it would be fitting to announce dates tomorrow... on the heels of the surprise show!

They need to announce the dates soon. They announced the 21st Century Breakdown 2009 tour about month before the album came out (on Hitler's birthday wut), so we should know the dates by the end of August.

Oh man, I wish you would have been right :(. And hopefully tickets don't go on sale the same day the dates are announced. I need time to get money in my bank account!

Posted

Really hoping there will be dates end of December/beginning of January so I could potentially go to one but I highly doubt it since that's Christmas break. Oh well, there's gotta be some coming up in the summer too...
