gmcloughlin Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 This is so class, I'm gonna be in Florida in late November so fingers crossed for a show As for the speculation of when the European tour will take place, I hope its before or after June. Stupid exams
Velocity Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Green Day always seem to come to New York around the middle of their tours, so that means this time they'll probably be here in December. I don't mind the cold weather, I've stuck it out in December for other concerts and I was fine...But if they play shows around here during the week of final exams I will scream.
Laura! Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 When my friends and I saw American Idiot in Detroit, it, seriously, was basically the ONLY day this winter where we had a legit snow STORM and not just flurries and shit. It was fucking terrible but son of a bitch, we made it We were not going to be deterred! Urgh, I don't need a reminder. Driving 40mph down I75 all the way from Detroit was not fun. Plus, I'm hoping Green Day decide to visit Ohio this tour, since we were forgotten about during the 21CB tour.
WestboundSign! Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 This means maybe a spring/summer tour in Europe? If they really headlining Rock am Ring this would be possible....very very exciting news...and this at a Friday 13th :D I'd love to see them here around that time! There's a lot of vacation in spring / summer time.. that always helps a little And if they also headlined Rock im Park, I'd definitely go! This is so exciting. I can't wait to hear more about their tour!
1039Mike Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 If they do tour USA in fall and winter, do you think there's a chance they will play a show or two in Canada?
Laura! Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 If they do tour USA in fall and winter, do you think there's a chance they will play a show or two in Canada? Definitely. When the band tours the US, they always make a few stops in Canada.
San Miguel Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 If they play Earls Court, I'll be in London. I haven't read the thread. Has that November starting date been confirmed? I'd be somewhat surprised by those dates. only according to the Billboard interview which itself is a pretty reliable source i guess hoinge they will announce officially soon

Psycho Britney Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Fingers crossed for a nice spring tour of the Uk then. I love the Spring!
TaylorKlinke Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I wonder who would go to Minneapolis from GDC. not many Minnesotans on here. Me! Unless they go to Fargo too. However, if that happens I might just go to both!
eastbayweirdo Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I love shows when it's cool out. Last year it was awesome seeing them in November! I was very comfortable in my hoodie and I wasn't sweaty!
gd86arg Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I saw NOFX last week (winter in Argentina) and because of "my dedication" as a fan I'm sick now
Mar Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Why is there a u in "rumor" in the subject line? This is an American tour we're talking about.
Riotgrrl_GD Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I wonder who would go to Minneapolis from GDC. not many Minnesotans on here. I may do that! We have gone up that far north before.
Mar Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I worry I'll actually be physically sick to my stomach with nerves in the .2 seconds between me reading "tour dates have been announced" and me actually looking at the dates to see if they're playing near me, I'm that nervous about them avoiding my area or playing on a bad day. My life.

My life. Just reading that freaked me out. I'm really hoping Florida will get three dates again, but they might get rid of one or two...

GreenDayisAmazing Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 I’ve never really been to a winter concert, summer is always better, but it’s Green Day so I will be there. I hope it’s not during finals though. I also really hope they come to AZ! Haha, I know what I want for Christmas this year!
-Billiejoezee- Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Why is there a u in "rumor" in the subject line? This is an American tour we're talking about. BLAME LINA AND HER CANADIANESS
The Snark Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 I love the winter, cause at least you can bundle up. In the summer there's only so much clothing you can remove until you get arrested.
Mar Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 I love the winter, cause at least you can bundle up. In the summer there's only so much clothing you can remove until you get arrested. A-fucking-men. You guys don't want to see me in the tank top and shorts this heat is forcing me to wear right now because my house won't cool down.
Four. Posted July 18, 2012 Author Posted July 18, 2012 BLAME LINA AND HER THEIR CANADIANESS Actually, blame Bryony and her British-ness.
spark in the night Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 If they avoid Ohio and Michigan then we both have the shittiest luck ever. I wouldn't worry. I don't think GD ever skips Detroit on their tour. And during November-January, Michigan is not that bad with winter weather. It doesn't legit snow dump until February anyway
Holly Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Gawd, I wish they were here autumn/winter and you could have em' next summer, I'm worried about the fact that if they were here this year I know uni would be fine to miss, but being here next spring/summer it's bound to be right when all my exams are that I can't get out of. Argh. Just cause it's summer it'll probably still be bloody freezing in England; I think queuing for Wembley in June was the coldest I've been in my life Although Manchester a few days before was definitely the hottest. Summer means it's more likely to rain too. Boo.
