July21 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 wonder how the setlist will be! there'll be a lot of shows before the release of tré.. i hope and bet they gonna play a bunch of songs/maybe almost every song off of it live before the release in january. and the fact that we gonna have 36 new songs will probably mean a varied and hopefully veeery long setlist
spacesauce Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I wonder if there will be another tour later in 2013 and just to huge arena shows for the first one. November-January will potentially not be a jam-pack list of dates with the holidays.
alaniluau Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I can't believe they're touring again! It seems like just yesterday I was embarking on the California swing of the '10 tour.
Lindsay Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 The weather would be fine with me during winter so that I'm not sweating balls down here in the south. And somewhere in New England... a certain chat mod *coughLONEcough* promised ages ago! And I need another Bum fix No Lindsay fix? I'm hoping they play some late December/early January dates, actually would be possible for me to go somewhere. But I also want to save my money for the UK so... decisions decisions! Ahh!
Nmd Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 No Lindsay fix? I'm hoping they play some late December/early January dates, actually would be possible for me to go somewhere. But I also want to save my money for the UK so... decisions decisions! Ahh! Yes, a Lindsay fix as well!!! And I heard about said UK trip possibly happening... I'd be down
Lindsay Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Yes, a Lindsay fix as well!!! And I heard about said UK trip possibly happening... I'd be down YES COME WITH US Need someone to keep us in line...
Nmd Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 YES COME WITH US Need someone to keep us in line... Hahaha, you've proven you cannot be left to your own devices! Plus, y'know, it'd be cool to check out Harry Potter related stuff
Lindsay Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Hahaha, you've proven you cannot be left to your own devices! Plus, y'know, it'd be cool to check out Harry Potter related stuff Shhhhh. I definitely am down. SO down. Fuuck yes I can't wait for this tour.
Karen. Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Winter tour is good in that it gives you something to look forward to in the miserable winter months, but yeah, waiting for hours outside in the very cold would be concerning.
Marlee Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I love seeing people complain about the cold winter tour, and here I am in Arizona drinking lemonade and wearing flip flops year round. I certainly hope they come here.
PeaceMucker Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I am sorry, but there is NEVER a bad time for Green Day to tour the US or World... UNIVERSE? Standing out in the cold only builds character and defines your dedication as a fan of the best fucking band. Embrace it. I hope this is correct. I can only hope for random secret shows before all this touring gets kickstarted!
Mar Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 We'll be at any Chicago date they play. If they come back here. Weather won't keep us away! When my friends and I saw American Idiot in Detroit, it, seriously, was basically the ONLY day this winter where we had a legit snow STORM and not just flurries and shit. It was fucking terrible but son of a bitch, we made it We were not going to be deterred! Green Day is worth freezing your ass off for a few hours. Just think, after the concert you are going to love the cold! See above. Honestly, I'm exicted about the winter tour. I'd much rather freeze my ass off outside than wait outside in the fucking terrible temperatures we're having now! And this means indoor venues, which I prefer. So, bring this shit on. I'm not in school anymore so I don't have to worry about this, but I hope for my friends' sakes, they don't come around here during finals week. That's all I ask! The band fucked me over with their 2010 tour by playing the first day of classes, so, come on!
Hermione Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Yay for a non-freezing Europe tour . But you get to see the new shows first so it's not a bad trade off!
Undómiel Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Yay for a non-freezing Europe tour . But you get to see the new shows first so it's not a bad trade off! But they might come here in February then.... Eeep! Coldest time of the year!
Hermione Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 But they might come here in February then.... Eeep! Coldest time of the year! Hmm...I think they should have a break to refresh themselves first!
Undómiel Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Hmm...I think they should have a break to refresh themselves first! Hmmm maybe... I hope it's in the summer (not that means much - weather wise!)
Hermione Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Hmmm maybe... I hope it's in the summer (not that means much - weather wise!) Lol true I nearly froze to death at Wembley. Well they can just play at the O2 (with indoor queuing) and then it won't matter when it is. I'll stop hijacking this thread now haha.
Isabel Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I think I was colder standing around for 2 hours outside the St James waiting for Billie back in January last year, than I was sleeping outside Wembley stadium for the entire night!
Guest Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 If they play Europe during May/ beginning - mid June, it'll be risky because of exams :/ The end of June, July or August would be perfect.
Undómiel Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I've changed the title (until Green Day.com officially announce it), so people don't entirely loose their shit...
pucky Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 If they play Europe during May/ beginning - mid June, it'll be risky because of exams :/ That would be horrible, and that's exactly why I hope that they come to Europe in March/April, or in summer. But not in june...that would be a tragedy
Guest Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 That would be horrible, and that's exactly why I hope that they come to Europe in March/April, or in summer. But not in june...that would be a tragedy I know, I'm worrying about it already:/
Undómiel Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 If they play Europe during May/ beginning - mid June, it'll be risky because of exams :/ The end of June, July or August would be perfect. Yeah they need to make it end of june/july if they're going to do it that way. I would hate for it to be in the middle of exam season!
Mary711 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 For me it really doesn't matter when they're going on tour, what counts is that they are going on tour again.
Smoothed Out Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Goddamn, has this band not learnt to consult us first before going off and starting to book dates? Jeez, how inconsiderate. /sarcasm edit- oh crap yeah, please don't come here in June. Beginnning of July would be perfection. But not during holiday season I might be in Florida. Thank you.
