People should really stop counting on leaked material. Songs or whatever you can think of is only leaked if an asshole who works there leaks it for us.

But am I the only one who doesn't even want it to be leaked? They want it to be a surprise, so I guess it should be.

I don't want it to be leaked either. The big premiere is on Monday for god's sake! Can't people just wait??

There is no quality loss. Numerous double-blind tests have shown there to be discernible difference between source audio and a well-encoded MP3. At an AES convention a few years ago, they posted results of one such study: at bitrates of 256kb/s, the numbers of professional sound engineers who could tell any difference was 50%, and the number only gets lower the higher you go. And that's in a professional recording studio, using high end facilities. Your iPod, computer or hi-fi are neither of those things. The difference is in your mind.

Like I said, you may not hear the difference very clearly but there most certainly is quality loss. As much as you are right, I will always prefer buying a cd instead of downloading it. There is no way in hell I will ever love or like ITunes and how it defined the trend of downloading music and basically killed the physical disks.

Those kind of changes just make me kind of sad.

I hate iTunes. iPad maybe be ok now that Mike has it, but iTunes is a seriously stupid thing. It only killed CDs, and I think it'll kill music after that. After stopping making CDs, people who bought music because like that of having the case and the cool disk (like me) won't pay for music anymore, because you can get exactly the same files you get from iTunes but for free. Then, it won't be worth it making music so they'll bring back CDs or music will just die.

Now, I didn't know there was a quality loss between the .mp3's you download and the ones in the original CDs.

There are no mp3's on original cd's. You create mp3's when ripping them from your dusk to your computer. The format on the original cd is mire like a Wav file. Or maybe it is a wav file, I'm not sure. But the music these days are digitally recorded which means the overall quality is not as good as back when analogue tapes were used. But digital production goes much faster and costs less and is getting closer to the sound of analogue. Though, it will never ever beat it, but it reached a satisfactory level these days so you can not really tell the difference anymore. But still, to me, the difference between WAV and MP3 is just too much to fully accept legal digital downloads that, just like Danny said, do not offer the booklets and cd cover art. I find it a big loss in the music industry. It's getting way over-simplified

Why do you thought that? Green Day have been in every single video they made, even if it has characters (like in JOS, they were on the tv ). I doubt they'd change now, it was pretty obvious they will be in it!
