icyfire34 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Guys, my uncle owns setlist.fm this is totally real. that's cool, but we just need some significant prove that it did happen, because there are so many flaws on how the person wrote it
Sixtrix Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I know this is not true, but apart from this I never saw anyone post anything that wasn't true on there. I actually thought you were being sarcastic
blitzkriegdeb Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 If it did happen, then god, fucking congrats to the band for being able to keep it under wraps. Although I'm pretty doubtful because, well, it's Green Day. Someone somewhere would have had to have mention the show or take a picture or something.
Harry Potter. Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 that's cool, but we just need some significant prove that it did happen, because there are so many flaws on how the person wrote it Thing is, not only one person wrote it. BillieJoe created the setlist, but then another person (billiejoeGD123) edited the setlist, so it was not only one person. And judging by their usernames, they're both hardcore Green Day fans, so maybe this show was super-small and they came there... I don't know if this made any sense. It would be awesome if it did though.
Ritz Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I think its fake cos nothing really happened on twitter or facebook or anywhere on the internet !
Elena Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Pretty sure it's not true or someone on here would have known something. They most likely would have tweeted it or at least sent out Idiot Club emails or something, and if they didn't do that then it would have been announced on a Philly radio station or something and someone would have posted about it on here. Otherwise no one would have known about it at all and no one could have gone... agree...or they would at least have said something AFTERWARDS...but we still didn't hear anything...there's always someone with an internet connection there who feels the urge to write something about it, we would have heard anything, i'm sure...if not before then after...and not just a setlist...
BringMoreKnives Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Nahhh, no way. There would have been more than a setlist. Pics, video, tweets, something else besides a setlist.
farley drexel hatcher Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 There was a tweet from some guy asking if the 'secret green day show in Philly is really happening' and that was three days ago
NickD Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 not saying its true or not, but when they did that secret random show at gilman back in 2000 or so, it took a while before people believed it and evidence showed up. and that was a show that had no planning or anything. just them being there and taking instruments and playing
solongfromthestars Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 There was a tweet from some guy asking if the 'secret green day show in Philly is really happening' and that was three days ago That's the only thing so far that has made me wonder. Maybe it's the same guy who posted the setlist though, still pretty convinced it's fake. too much wrong with it and that website really isn't reliable.
insomniax Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 It doesn't make sense, something like this wouldn't be able to hide away from the internet radar.. with all it's tweets, facebook updates and news sites and of course.. pretty hungry Green Day fans. + that the setlist is a bit strangely arranged, even if the majority of the songs are new one's which I haven't heard. It just doesn't look right. But hey, guess we'll just wait and see.
TheJedi Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Looking at the setlist ..... It's obviously fake - they played It's fuck time 4 times ? Hmmm I sense bullshit well, they usually play It's Fuck Time that many times. they almost never play it only one time
Cori Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I did searches on both twitter and instagram for stuff about it. I couldn't find anything. Seems to me they probably just made it up.
Ritz Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 yeah I have seen on youtube it played as many as 7 times. Its Fuck Time is a chartbuster
Cori Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Although, after looking at a map I realized that Philly is somewhat close to where Emily's Army is right now. Coincidence?
Ritz Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Although, after looking at a map I realized that Philly is somewhat close to where Emily's Army is right now. Coincidence? This might be true then, but a show so secret? I wonder who were there or how many people were there.
Silent Duck Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 According to the setlist Billie Joe was there so it must be true. A 26 song acoustic set with just Billie. Sounds great!
Harry Potter. Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 There was a tweet from some guy asking if the 'secret green day show in Philly is really happening' and that was three days ago Although, after looking at a map I realized that Philly is somewhat close to where Emily's Army is right now. Coincidence? These two really got me thinking... I guess all there is to do is just wait and see...
Requila Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Yeah, there was a TTTAL release party in The Barbary yesterday, which is also in Philadelphia. Still, this seems highly unlikely.
Fuzz Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Yeah doesn't seem likely at all. I think people were confused by Billie's tweet when he mentioned a Philly show for yesterday, but it was for TTALL. Since no one besides setlist.fm has anything, just doesn't seem likely.
Harry Potter. Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Setlist.fm is a wiki. It's fully user-edited, meaning any user can make up any BS setlist they want. I know, i'm just saying the users don't ususally lie like that. At least I never saw them doing that.
Pres Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I'm guessing the shows a fake just because it seem unlikely that none of us have heard anything, and i feel like Billie would have said something either at the last minute or after the show just to let everyone know what happened.
