djrossstar Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I will go foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Such haters on here Why can't we all get along? I am probably the only consistent Green Day fan from those days that still enjoys going on to these things and meeting newer fans!

djrossstar Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I am serious. What he wrote about Stay The Night is hysterical!
-Billiejoezee- Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Anyways.... Wouldn't we have heard something new already if it would be today or tomorrow? How was it with the other secret shows? My memory is bad right now.
Sweet Armataged Chump Posted June 15, 2012 Author Posted June 15, 2012 Anyways.... Wouldn't we have heard something new already if it would be today or tomorrow? How was it with the other secret shows? My memory is bad right now. Billie announced them hours or minutes before the show I believe.
stylesmanifest Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Billie announced them hours or minutes before the show I believe. that's god awful.. to whoever has gone to a secret show, how chaotic is it?
pretty_and_demented Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I don't think it was ever minutes. From my memory it was from a couple of days to hours.
farley drexel hatcher Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I think only a couple of the secret shows were announced within hours, most of them had at least a day's notice, maybe two. I think that one they did in San Fran had little notice because they didn't even know they were doing it till that day
djrossstar Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 That one show in SF, the benefit one, he announced it as they were going on!
Sweet Armataged Chump Posted June 15, 2012 Author Posted June 15, 2012 I don't think it was ever minutes. From my memory it was from a couple of days to hours. There was that one show in San Francisco he tweeted the show was starting NOW.
eastbayweirdo Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 With the Austin show, they announced where it was that day.. He just said there was a secret show not in CA or NY like two days before. It's pretty fun/hectic with very little notice. I hope this show isn't for like another week and then I could possibly go!
Undómiel Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Yeah I think some were announced with such short notice so people wouldn't freak out and try and fly half way round the world...
KissMeDeadly Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I will go foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Such haters on here Why can't we all get along? I am probably the only consistent Green Day fan from those days that still enjoys going on to these things and meeting newer fans! you're right. i have no interest in meeting new fans... or any fans. not looking forward to standing with you in line for GD shows. maybe my mean mugging will keep people away.
djrossstar Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 We will probably be making out the whole time anyway and grossing everyone out.
beejeezee Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 If they release with a few days notice I'll be able to go come on Billie please
TheJedi Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 What about it is a clue? Not everything the band says/puts out is a clue to this. Ex: "Oh, Stay the Night is on the new albums so the secret show must be at night and it's a sleepover because Billie wants us to stay the night. And since he wants us to stay the night, it must be at his house!!!! OMGGGGG!!!11!!" i cant stop laughing
gerardsangel4977 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Or better yet people can make their own choice and do what they want at the show While I would never presume to tell people what to do at their own show, I have to agree that the prevalence of camera phones is annoying when you're in the pit. It's one thing when you have one or two people being sneaky about it, but sometimes you get like half the audience doing it and it's like "I want to see the stage through my eyes not have to view it through a field of cameras." That said, I have less problem with the people who spend the whole time taking pictures/videos and more problem with the people who stand there texting/checking facebook the whole time. I mean, geez, if you're gonna go to see a band, at least pay attention!
Fuzz Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 I don't understand why you can't enjoy a show because of what the people around you are doing. If people have their cameras up taking photos so it kind of blocks your view, that's not very different than when Billie Joe tell the crowd to put their hands up and clap. The stage might be a bit blocked still, but the beauty of a concert is that you don't need to see the band members for the solid 2-3 hours to enjoy the music. I've closed my eyes completely during a show so I could just experience it, even if just a brief moment, through sound. It's pretty amazing. I don't care what people do while they're at the show. I can still enjoy it in my own way. I'm more bothered by the pricks pushing to the point of uncomfortableness than people holding up a camera. But the pushing is just part the show, so I can deal with it and still leave with an incredibly happy memory.
Hermione Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Everyone has their preferences when it comes to shows but the thing is it's not gonna be a sea of cameras if it's a small show anyway. Chances are they'll have a rule against filming and even if they didn't Billie would do something about it if there was nothing but cameras right in front of his face lol. That's gonna limit the number of cameras and within those limits people are gonna do what they want to do so there's not much point in worrying about it.
Silent Duck Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Lets hope Billie doesn't get angry again and put a curse on Tim Cook now that Steve Jobs is dead!
