Ashley! Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 That would be awesome! And clothes optional would make a lot more sense if that were the case!
Lindsay Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I actually really like that idea/thought, and it fits with a lot of the things Billie has been saying. Excited to see what happens now!
-Billiejoezee- Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Tomorrow will be the day... i just know it. tomorrow we'll know all the information,
Ashley! Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Tomorrow will be the day... i just know it. tomorrow we'll know all the information, I hope you are right!
pasalaska Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Edited the title of this thread to include 'LA Area' just in case any more secret shows are announced and to make it easier to search yada yada yada...
pretty_and_demented Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Tomorrow will be the day... i just know it. tomorrow we'll know all the information, But I want to know NOOWW. Haha... I've been sitting at my laptop all damn day like a starved dog.
pretty_and_demented Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 For some reason, I feel like they are going to do a show on The Strip or The BLVD. (although I love the idea of a beach party and certainly want the under 21s to join, an old school punk party on The Strip would be FFFUUNNN) So I checked some of the calendars because that can sometimes give it away to the initiated. Well what I found would give it away to the uninitiated. It was a very conspicuous OPEN date at the Viper Room on a Saturday (this) which makes no sense unless it was rented for a private party. I have friends at Viper so if they know, I will find out tonight. http://viperroom.com...nth=jun&yr=2012 Awesome dude... Find out ASAP.
uhleckseee Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I think it would be so cool if they announced it same-day. Everyone would be scrambling, and it would make the payoff even sweeter. It worked like that for me once. A friend of mine works at Chain Reaction, a local music club here in Anaheim, Ca where smaller bands play, and she texted me one afternoon saying, "Billie Joe's son's band is playing here. Billie Joe and his wife are like, RIGHT HERE. Get here. Now." So I got there, waited outside (one entrance, horray), and met Billie Joe for like 5 seconds before he rushed off. Super awesome.
stylesmanifest Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I saw this posted for tomorrow. Not sure if Green Day will be there. -Billiejoezee- Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I really don't care where it is as long as there's no age restriction. I think it would be so cool if they announced it same-day. Everyone would be scrambling, and it would make the payoff even sweeter. It worked like that for me once. Super awesome. haha my friend Mia went to that Emily's Army show and she got to tell him hi. But I want to know NOOWW. Haha... I've been sitting at my laptop all damn day like a starved dog. Dude, i haven't even done my essay which will be graded as one of my finals which is due TOMORROW because i'm nervous about this. I've been checking 24/7...literally. I hardly slept last night.
-Billiejoezee- Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 fbht once played at the roxy... all ages lol i'll shut up now with my hopes.
GreenDayisAmazing Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Gosh I hope they stream since I can't go. =( Why must these shows be too far!
Ratchet Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 His last tweet gave me an idea. What if the concert will be streamed online? "There's no thing as too many friends." Well, here's to hoping!
The Pedestrian Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I seriously think that there might be official live stream or broadcast of this of some sorts. Every venue has it’s limits, apart from the internet. I mean, they’ll undoubtedly be in the LA area with a live audience, but ‘extra space’ and ‘byob’ could both be suggesting a stream...

I would love for this to happen, but I think this is just wishful thinking on our part
The Pedestrian Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I would love for this to happen, but I think this is just wishful thinking on our part Probably, but it would explain a lot... And everything so far (secret shows, the studio updates, three albums, the insane album art) has been pretty much new for green day, so nothing can be ruled out
Sixtrix Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 It would be awesome if we get a live stream! But if they do that, then I think they will only stream the first part of their performance with older songs and then end the stream. And then the live audience who is actually there get to hear a few new songs. That's what I fear for

Fuzz Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I like these elaborate ideas about what they could do, built on top of other elaborate ideas that they've given no hints of doing in the first place.
Sanity Loan Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I mean, they'll undoubtedly be in the LA area with a live audience, but 'extra space' and 'byob" could both be suggesting a stream... How do extra space and BYOB suggest a live stream? I don't understand how you can make that connection at all. Also, i highly doubt someone will stream it. The band would not want their new songs out there already. An official live stream is out of the question. But, if an attendee would like to put one out, I'm all for it.
Bolanic Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 One week from today. I can say no more. Please, don't ask.
Fuzz Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 One week from today. I can say no more. Please, don't ask. I'll ask anyway. Source? Even if it isn't specific, just need to know if it's trustworthy before people freak out and start buying plane tickets.
Annie, get your gun Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Why do I think that they knew something -when you guys talked about that being a free show they wouldn't want SO many people- and then he tweets this "there will be extra space"... "There's no such thing as too many friends. Chaos=love" < THAT IS SO SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could go!
