greendaytodeathandback Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 lulu.com is a self-publishing website so anyone and everyone can publish a book That is so awesome!!!!
Karen. Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Wow the ebook is cheap! But I think I'd prefer a real copy. Will ponder the best shipping option.
Jet Taman Posted May 21, 2012 Author Posted May 21, 2012 Wow the ebook is cheap! But I think I'd prefer a real copy. Will ponder the best shipping option. Yeah, just like Green Day does, I have it as cheap as possible for all us regular folks. Do the regular shipping method. I ordered the first book on a Saturday evening and it arrived Friday.

GreenDayisAmazing Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 That's cool! Haha nice job adding the shirt lol!
Jet Taman Posted May 23, 2012 Author Posted May 23, 2012 Oh yeah and there's almost an entire chapter about my experiences with Green Day Across the World (many of you may also have had similar experiences....)
Karen. Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 I think we need to do another order together! Ordered x2.
Jet Taman Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 Thanks so much for the support! I really really do appreciate it and I want everyone to know that I'm making about a dime a book by choice--you can choose how much profit you want to make and I chose the minimum amount. As with my BJ Guitars, I don't make a profit, with my Read Day music, I give CD's out for free and do free shows at schools and children's hospitals, and I'm not making a profit off of this book either. As people buy this book a sudden wave of paranoia and self consciousness hits me--Oh My God....people are reading my Green Day life stories.... I just want people to know that I just wanted to entertain people and show all the ways Green Day has influenced my life. There is no Green Day book out there that's going to give any of us any history that we don't already know...what's important is showing how Green Day has made history in OUR lives. We're all here because of the greatest band in the world and I have so much to share about how my life LITERALLY wouldn't be the same without Green Day.... that's why I HAD to write this book. I really do hope you all enjoy. Thanks so much for getting a book....
lizziebix Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Received it this morning! Looking forward to starting it on my commute home!
AtomicHammock Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Huge congratulations on finishing your book. Many people start them, few finish them. I love the cover art and the title. Make no apologies for that mullet - it's a classic. Please advise when the book is available in e-format - I look forward to reading it!! Again, well done!!

Again, well done!! e-book should be ready by now...unfortunately it doesn't work with Kindle, but works on just about everything else. I know it works on iPad and for Androids you can download any e-reader app for free. I prefer the hard copy myself because I think the formatting of the pictures and chapters are set up much better in the book than on the eBook. Thanks for the support. Is that your book in your sig? I'll have to check it out! Good title!
Holly Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Wow this is really cool, looks great, I'll have to get a copy when I've got a few pennies to spare. Congrats!
AtomicHammock Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Justin, Yes - the book in the signature is mine. Just published it in the Kindle and Nook stores. It's readable on any device with a kindle or nook app. Just a short novel about a kid who has had it with suburban bliss. . . Thanks - I just bought My Green Days e-book on lulu (I already had an account there). Should be no trouble to load it on my android. Looking forward to reading it! Cheers -
Silent Duck Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Just bought the e-book! Felt kinda bad paying only €1.33 for it! Looking forward to reading it when I get the time.
AtomicHammock Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Jet, I have read the first twenty or so pages of My Green Days - very enjoyable. Your writing is fluid, engaging, accessible, unpretentious - kind of like GD music, now that I think of it - and I really appreciate that! Moreover, the stories are good. I feel like I'm along for the ride - a little nail biting mixed with grins - that's not easy to do. I also like the drawings - original, and well-placed. This will be good commuter train reading for a while to come. Well worth the $1.72 download. I would recommend it to any GD fan. Keep writing.
lizziebix Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Just finished it on my commute to work this morning. All I kept thinking was, can't wait for the next 20 years of stories. But dammit, I don't really want to wait that long to hear about your adventures! You've done some pretty cool stuff in your life surrounding Green Day. But Read Day is the best by far! I would recommend this book to any Green Day fan. Not just for the show highlights but also for the inspiration they brought to your life and to show what can be accomplished with a life filled with Green Day music.

A few good reviews is always nice to hear! If you guys feel SO inspired, could you maybe cut and paste what you wrote in the Review section on the Lulu page where you bought the book? That would be awesome! Niki Lee, who wrote "Seize the Green Day!" is getting a book too! Planning on giving Joey Armstrong a book when Emily's Army comes to Baltimore on June 23rd!
whatserbmae Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Ordered x2. Yay, it'll be great to read on our holiday!
