That's already been suggested to me by someone else on the forum. It might be a good idea for a group of us to team up and try and get tickets for other GDC members :)

Really? Weren't they playing in Japan today? Well yesterday with the time difference :S

Yeah but Japan are ahead...

Don't think I'm going to be able to go, I'm visiting family Wed-Sat. They are in Manchester though, which isn't a million miles from London, think my mum would be pissed if I just bugger off when she's been looking forward to seeing me...hmm

They're 12 hours ahead i think...no?

So if they were on Sunday night in Osaka, that'd have been this morning over here...hmm.

Japan is 9 hours ahead of uk, flight time from japan to Uk is 12.5 hrs

It's nearly 5am in Osaka now. They could have flown straight to the UK after the gig I suppose.... :sherlock:

You can pick one up for like £20 - if you're lucky.

Having just looked on their website, all of the central London rooms are closer to £80 or 90. Ones very much on the outskirt are about £35-40 for Thursday night.

Well, I definitely think I will try to get a couple at least. There's a lot of people wanting to go, so they wouldn't go to waste. I've got no intention of making any profit from them whatsoever.

Da fuq. They clearly know something we don't.

Look at Etap hotels, Hounslow is usually pretty easy to get to, as its on the way to Heathrow, they're usually cheap

Same :) Ya if people were willing to do this, I'm in. Only thing is, if it's a really small venue, thousands of people are trying to get tickets and we're trying to get multiple amounts rather than just one.... we could end up without any :( Oh the stress! :runaround:

By the sounds of it, your problem is being away when the tickets would be on sale, right? Could you get someone to try on your behalf? Or even if one of us somehow managed to get through, and bought a couple just for GDC people.... face value only, of course!

That's the first hurdle, aye, although if I do get tickets I'll be leaving my best friend on her own at her first ever festival, and she ain't the forgiving type, and have to get from the festival to London. I guess we'll just see what happens, when it is announced I'll have to see how possible it's gonna be and try to sort something out about the tickets.

If I convince my mum and get tickets, I would be interested! Had an awesome time last time I met a group of GDCers ;-)

She doesn't like Green Day (whatta loser)

Right, I'm gonna stop stressing about this and accept I'm probably not going to be able to go. OH GOD I WANNA CRY AND BE SICK AT THE SAME TIME Until they announce it I can't do anything. So they best just huzza up.

No direct flights to the UK though...chances are they'd have to get a flight to Tokyo, then a flight onwards to the UK. I'd say there'd be no flights from Tokyo that late to the UK so they'd have to wait until the next morning + it'd be as well to take it nice and easy....

totally didn't research this :ninja:

so possibly they'd get a flight in a few hours to tokyo, then to the UK.

Meaning if there was an announcement tomorrow + they did fly in tomorrow, they'd probably clash pretty well.

hate to be a killjoy, but remember it's not as simple as bringing the guys over... you have to bring all of the equipment as well. don't see that being able to be turned around in a few hours......

If I manage to get to the london show I'm just gonna hang around till the 6am train, hopefully getting drunk with anyone who is around, if not just sitting in kings cross and crying with happiness alone. Not gonna ask my mate for her London flat key considering she is the person im abandoning at the festival if the two clash, and I feel thats a little too rude.

I will be there for a bit, so you can get drunk with me and relive H/J times.

Long time, no see! I swear the last time I saw you was when you posted a review of Wembley...

You probably don't even remember me around GDC at the time! :P

This would all be a lot easier for me if they would just play Leeds too ):

FUCKING YES, QUEENIE!

Haha, yeah if they were playing Leeds I'd have spent the last few days in some delirious state of happiness instead of being on a brink of a break down.
