sorry!! I want news myself because I really want to get to this show! don`t get a chance usually but I`m going for this one big time! what I can say is that the issues aren`t down to the earth shatteringly surprise "news" that Martyn has been has been going around bragging about knowing ages in advance though. ;)

I know what you mean, I never got a chance to do fht, and it was only plausible for me to go to two shows on the last tour (one in seats) so I'm really trying hard this time. Just need some neeeeews!

And I swear, if/when tickets go on sale, if I don't manage to get any but someone who has seen them a thousand times and followed them on tour does, then gloats, then there will be some colourful words in this thread. Lol

So it IS Thursday??? Seriously - confirm this because then I can do something about work...

REALLY? REALLY? REALLY? I am being deadly serious.

It was Thursday a week ago, and everyone else seems to mention that date as well. So unless they change it last minute, it's thursday.

What I don't get, and it thoroughly annoys me, is this kind of expectation that us fans can simply stop our lives for a moment or two and manage to get our shit together in a matter of hours. It's not really fair.

Do you actually know, or not?

What's your source? Which venue?

I see people have been freaking out cos GD.com is done again. We were in the same state last night

Ah gowan Martyn, wouldn't you prefer it if members of GDC had a headstart at arranging things for this rather than just the people that hear GD will be in London and decide to go along just for a night out? :P

Exactly. That's why I have no hope of going :(

I actually feel a bit sick through nerves.

As much as I want this to come off, part of me is telling me it's impossible.

There's a reason the band doesn't announce these things that early. If they wanted to give people plenty of time to be there, they'd announce it like a proper show.

Martyn doesn't really owe anyone an explanation or more details.

I know. Doesn't mean we can't ask/speculate/worry/get angsty. It means a lot.

Same :( but I feel I've gotta try anyway. It's been 2 long and tough years since I last saw them, and if they're in the UK, I will do and pay whatever it takes to see them.

exactly. gotta repeat your post about not booking stuff until it's officially posted by the band, just to make sure. they could change stuff, they do have that power. :)

Are you worried about getting a ticket, or not being able to get away from work? It would be really great if a lot of us got to go. Sad to see so many either away or not sure they can make it :(

Why can't it be the week after next? I have a shit tonne of time then...

The whole work/travel thing.

The ticket thing doesn't matter because if I don't get one the whole thing is pointless anyway. I'm more concerned about the logistics if I do somehow manage to get a golden ticket...

This... Why would the band announce it this early if it's meant to be a secret? I've been following this thread for the last couple days but only just logged in to post...

I have the advantage of living in London, so if there is a London show confirmed (for any day other than Thursday), I'll be able to make it...

I'm then doubly as lucky in the fact that I'm going to Reading as well, so hopefully will see them there too!

I should be able to go to a london show as long as its after midday thursday, i have to had in my thesis which is worth pretty much everything iv done this year, if i get to go to this show it would be incredible!

If there is not a announcement by Tuesday Morning, I'm gonna leave it and wait for tour.

I'm scared shitless about the ticket situation after watching all the Americans going through the stress of getting them :runaround::lol:

I'm feeling exactly the same. Although I have it all planned out what I'd do, I keep stopping and realising this is so close to impossible. I need to stop letting my mind think it's something that's going to happen.

Godsake, why can't I be a normal person and not some ridiculously obsessed fangirl. Life would be so much easier if I could just accept Green Day are playing in London without feeling it is absolutely necessary that I'm there.

Ikr? It's not as if they're not going to tour soon anyway...

If you're not sure whether they'd let you have the time off, could you keep quiet and then call-in sick? Not ideal, I know, but it has to be better than missing the chance to see your favourite band with just a couple of thousand people. The massive arena gigs are never as good! As for the Travelodge, that sounds like a good idea. How much is a room?

By the sounds of it, your problem is being away when the tickets would be on sale, right? Could you get someone to try on your behalf? Or even if one of us somehow managed to get through, and bought a couple just for GDC people.... face value only, of course!

You can pick one up for like £20 - if you're lucky.

I'm half expecting a tweet in a few hours from Billie saying "Just boarded a plane to the UK".....and no announcement til like Tuesday

.... in which case I will abandon all plans to find and torture Martyn and start planning "Operation Billie Goes Bye Bye"

:whistle

I think they're already in the UK?

That's already been suggested to me by someone else on the forum. It might be a good idea for a group of us to team up and try and get tickets for other GDC members :)

Really? Weren't they playing in Japan today? Well yesterday with the time difference :S
