San Miguel Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Weekend and Sunday-only tickets are sold out, but there are still Saturday and Friday tickets available. I would be surprised if they'd announce the surprise set more than a day beforehand though, especially if they don't play the main stage. interesting. i reckon they would play Friday more so than Saturday. hmmm..... if i could get a ticket i'd be tempted
netty Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I don`t like being fucked with! it makes me grumpy. a grumpy netty is not a pretty sight
colour_me_stupid_ Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 you can get the bus for 40 quid though from limerick to london and another 40 return Cool I'm from Kerry though and really, there's no way in hell I'm gonna get the time off work. I'm just fantasizing a little! I'm happy to just wait for the tour announcement, already have a hundred quid in my fund
gmcloughlin Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 you can get the bus for 40 quid though from limerick to london and another 40 return But it would take forever, and I'm not one for traveling for a long time I'd rather pay out and get there quickly and comfortably! Are you thinking of going over?
Hermione Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 If its a secret show, can you usually buy tickets in advance to these? Or is it more of a thing where you have to queue up before hand outside the venue? Just don't wana get my hopes up knowing I won't be able to risk the journey if the tickets wern't guaranteed sort of thing. The last time they did a secret show in England it was the Foxboro show a couple of years ago, and for that you just had to queue up outside the venue. However, since then all the secret shows they've been doing in the US have been a buy the tickets online in advance thing. So I'm assuming it'll be buying in advance, but I suppose we'll just have to wait and see when they announce it.

So there's still a small chance for me if they're playing on Friday. Veeery small though.
farley drexel hatcher Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Given that they have shirts and supposedly a support act this sounds like a bigger show than some of their secret us shows, so I'd assume it'd be announced before rather than on a first come first serve basis. I just really want some news now, never gone off to London last minute before, might end up stranded in st pancras all night yet haha
Rumpelstiltskin2000 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Thanks. So there's still a small chance for me if they're playing on Friday. Veeery small though. We checked earlier and think Friday only tickets were about £78 Given that they have shirts and supposedly a support act this sounds like a bigger show than some of their secret us shows, so I'd assume it'd be announced before rather than on a first come first serve basis. I just really want some news now, never gone off to London last minute before, might end up stranded in st pancras all night yet haha Will probably be stranded at St Pancras too!

Are you thinking of going over? honestly not as long as i thought it would, good few hours, but overnight so sleep like I'm considering if it gets announced soon enough you're not I'm guessing?
gmcloughlin Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 honestly not as long as i thought it would, good few hours, but overnight so sleep like I'm considering if it gets announced soon enough you're not I'm guessing? Oh I'm going, whatever it costs!

Me too though, I just wanna know what's going on. At least if the tickets are in advance we'll know if we're going in advance and can plan a bit instead of a going on a nerve wracking journey to London not knowing if you're getting in or not.
Mary711 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 We checked earlier and think Friday only tickets were about £78 Will probably be stranded at St Pancras too! Thanks for that! I really hope they're going to announce it early enough to have some time to organize things.

Exactly. It's the stress of taking off to another country that's annoying me I wish they'd announce it, and I really hope tickets are in advance in case I'm traveling when tickets go on sale!
farley drexel hatcher Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 We checked earlier and think Friday only tickets were about £78 Will probably be stranded at St Pancras too! lol good to know i'm not the only one Lol we can go to Starbucks! At least if the tickets are in advance we'll know if we're going in advance and can plan a bit instead of a going on a nerve wracking journey to London not knowing if you're getting in or not. lol yeah! as we almost had to after wembley but yeah, still torn on whether i'd go to London without a ticket ... I don't think i'll know that till the day to be honest. that's why i hope it's tickets in advance
Martyn Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 so why do it? you know something...supposedly. but you aren`t actually helping people. you are just winding people up. think i'm better than green day rumours would reported stuff they heard from someone, who got it from someone else - not very credible anyway trying to give hints/etc wherever possible + keeping this alive...then after i can go back into obscurity I really hope tickets are in advance in case I'm traveling when tickets go on sale! exactly my problem! even if tickets were monday, i've got to reorganise my trip to dublin (stupid 4 hour journey) to see ATL
San Miguel Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 say they do play Reading festival, and people from here buy tickets especially (i'm considering) - do you think it'll be difficult finding out when they play and on what stage? i've not been there before so could very well be asking a stupid question but if there's more than one stage then i would only want to be standing at the right one in plenty of time to get a good view! getting waaaay ahead of myself

LittleBoyNamedTrain Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Think I'm gonna stop reading this thread until the London show is over, this is faaaar too depressing.
Fuzz Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Until we get more information I really advise people not to spend money on something that we have zero verified sources for. No offense to Martyn, but I think we should try to get more than one person confirming something before people get their panties all wet.
Ollie Raiden Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Just as a rough guide, how much do these secret shows usually cost? I'm kinda going through a rough monetary phase and it costs like £10-15 for me to get into London (doesn't seem like much, I know. But I've only got about £50 currently. Possibly less). Don't wanna miss this, though.

Don't book anything (that's not refundable) until they put up an official announcement somewhere.
gd86arg Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Green Day in Reading Festival? Maybe the 25 I guess, it's too much for kasabian be a headliner lol

diamondross Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Hey all. I just wanted to let you know that Reading is definite. I managed to get that confirmed by a lose contact I have who tours with the band. Not really anything new but I guess it helps to know from the inside! I know nothing else about the London show, so good luck!!
