Daddy. Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 There might be a (tiny) chance they will show it on TV if they played Reading fest.
Guest Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 There might be a (tiny) chance they will show it on TV if they played Reading fest. They probably will on BBC 3 as they're a big enough band. Bit unfair how there'll be 2 secret shows down south though, or am I just being selfish?
The Guy Called Kill Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Regarding the whole Reading thing, didn't Them Crooked Vultures play one year unannounced?
Undómiel Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I'm trying to stay calm until something is announced officially.... I mean we can't do anything about it until then anyway...
It's Splash Time Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Bit unfair how there'll be 2 secret shows down south though, or am I just being selfish? If only they had a show in Glasgow in late September. That would be perfect for me. As it is, I'm just gonna have to wait for the actual tour.

Holly Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Isn't there always a secret band playing the Thursday night of the festival? Not that I can think of any examples.
Rachii Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I just tweeted Stereoboard demanding they tell me when the London show is, I got this: "wish we could but we'll let you know next week." In other news BBC films most of the bands on the main 2 stages and all the bands on the Introducing Stage at Reading so there's a chance that if they play Reading it will be online.
Martyn Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Isn't there always a secret band playing the Thursday night of the festival? Not that I can think of any examples. Can't think of any either actually...but nope, they're not. Would want a slightly better slot than that!
daria02 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Nope, Glasgow would suck as well. Glasgow's got some good venues!
It's Splash Time Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Nope, Glasgow would suck as well. Shush, you're closer to doon south. Glasgow has my sister's flat and an offer of getting drunk with her
daria02 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Yeah, I just don't like the city. Aw, howcome? They've got a new concert venue opening 2013.
Holly Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Can't think of any either actually...but nope, they're not. Would want a slightly better slot than that! I dont want them to have any slot, I'm being all mean and bitter about them not coming to Leeds nah, its gonna be so ace for all the fans who'll be at the festival but don't keep up with what's going on as much as us losers, so they'll have no idea, then suddenly out come Green Day. I envy them and their stress free lives.

Isabel Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I'll be so disappointed if they do Reading....I was going to get a day ticket when there was speculation of them playing. LTJ are playing R&L so I thought 'Wow, I'll get to see them both at the same festival!!' Boourns
silviagreen Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I think Green Day could be at Reading on Friday the 24th, the same day as You Me At Six (they tweeted this some hours ago)....
Martyn Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I think Green Day could be at Reading on Friday the 24th, the same day as You Me At Six (they tweeted this some hours ago).... Mentioned this already, i'm not gonna be pleased if they're support for the london show...
JaHawk2009 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 If green day are at reading, my Gf will freak out. If they are in London on a day I'm free, I will freak out
Isabel Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 But surely YM@6's tweet wouldn't be about the fact that they're playing Reading the same day as Green Day? Hardly worth mentioning in that way?
StPaul Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Probably wrong but on one of the piscture the england show is listed before the paris show which i think was on the saturday. On the friday at reading for the lock up stage it only has 12 acts there, but on the sunday the stage has 14. the dance stage on the saturday only has 12 acts there though so not sure. I was also thinking though green day is a massive band if they played a small show at a festival how many people will be rushing there once they get wind of it to see them, will cause a stampede and that will cause lots of health and saftey thigns for the organisers. I dout they would let it happen. For smaller bands and bands doing acoustic set's it wont attract an as bigger crowd. http://forums.readingfestival.com/m1019282.aspx Also found that. Made an account just to share all this with you

Hardly worth mentioning in that way? exactly! support for london or something completely unrelated i'd say! only putting them as possible support cos they seem to get great slots, was supposed to do the blink tour before it was postponed + all. lets hope not tho...
Chloe_Kerplunk Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Oh my fuck... I hope they play in London when i'm visiting, that would be the best.

The place would go mental. exactly! support for london or something completely unrelated i'd say! only putting them as possible support cos they seem to get great slots, was supposed to do the blink tour before it was postponed + all. lets hope not tho... I don't even know them at all, I just think it'd be class if there was no support at all
