w00t932 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Its nice to have information on a possible show ,although I think I'm gonna wait until they start touring the arenas. Its awesome to know that they are possibly going to London to do a show though. I hope a band like Lower Than Atlantis support them, You Me At Six are one of those bands that make amazing singles, but they are the only good songs on the album.
Davepalooza Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Waiting for this to be announced is horrible. Just sat here, refreshing every so often for some news. I have to leave for London in a few hours to see Billy Talent so hopefully nothing goes on sale tonight.
Isabel Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I wouldn't imagine tickets would go on sale the same day as the announcement?
daria02 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I wouldn't imagine tickets would go on sale the same day as the announcement? Neither would I. I wish they'd just announce it. It's unfair on fans since travel costs shoot up since you can't book in advance.
Martyn Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 They better not make us wait til next week (as stereoboard's tweets seem to imply...) hmm
Harriet Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Guys do you think it's worth me joining the idiot club in case there's a ticket competition/pre-sale?
solongfromthestars Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Guys do you think it's worth me joining the idiot club in case there's a ticket competition/pre-sale? I think that'd be a good idea, but maybe wait till the announcement. You might know if it'll be worth it then.
farley drexel hatcher Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 They better not make us wait til next week (as stereoboard's tweets seem to imply...) hmm Spanish sounding? Apart from the album titles ... god I hope not
Harriet Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Found this on facebook: Reading festival, do you think?
Davepalooza Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Found this on facebook: Reading festival, do you think? Freaking out right now. Please please please let this be true!!
farley drexel hatcher Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 So looks like a secret set at reading plus secret London show
solongfromthestars Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 How would it work if GD were to play a surprise set at Reading Festival, like would they just show up on one of the small stages on a random day? I doubt there's any way I could go but just wondering how it works?
Martyn Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Found this on facebook: Reading festival, do you think? OMFG. Secret UK show the weekend of Reading/Leeds. Was expecting secret shows in France + Italy as well. This lists a Rome show, Green Day haven't announced a Rome show yet, hence i'm calling real August 27th 2012: Secret show in Paris, France September 3rd 2012: Secret show in Rome, Italy. and boom, then off to the VMAs for the 6th. so yeah looks legit. edit: damn, my 2000th post...i wanted to save that for the announcement of the London show!
Silent Duck Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Holly ain't gonna be happy if they play Reading and not Leeds! Stupid page own.

Two shows though, right? Since London and reading are listed separately?
Undómiel Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 They better not make the secret show at Leeds. I didn't buy leeds ticket this year because Green Day weren't playing.
Martyn Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Two shows though, right? Since London and reading are listed separately? Yups. London show, plus the "secret show NOBODY knows anything about"

I doubt there's any way I could go but just wondering how it works? Many bands do suprise sets over the weekend. Last year Rise Against and Ed Sheeran played BBC Introducing Stage. Frank Turner played Lockup stage. 2010, NOFX did a set on the lockup stage too. Okay, these bands were already playing the festival, but they were advertised to play on different stages and did suprise sets. Not sure where a band like Green Day would turn up though.
JaHawk2009 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Oh god that London gig! just got permission from mother to go if it isn't at Brixton, she'll even front up for travel.

Didnt Metallica play 2nd stage under a fake name one year, think it was 03? May have been Download though!
Isabel Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Wait, I'm confused. So does this mean that they are playing AT Reading festival or a show IN Reading? Why wasn't this on the first t-shirt we saw?
netty Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Yups. London show, plus the "secret show NOBODY knows anything about" what? reading?
Undómiel Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Urgh. If the bigger shows are at Reading/Leeds I'll just have to hold out hope for the secret secret show.
solongfromthestars Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Yeah I'm wondering why they weren't on the other t-shirt too. Any chance it could be fake? Ah ok, thanks for explaining.
