But if this is allegedly a bigger venue than one with only 200 ish capacity, surely it would be announced sooner rather than later? No?

Are we talking Brixton size here? 5,000? Or something like Shepard's Bush or HMV Forum?

If its in London, National Express coach for £30 is looking like an option from Manchester, even if it takes 6-7 hours. Thanks for the idea.

And I don't know. I don't think so, but one never knows with your cryptic hints that I personally think you're just teasing us with now. ;-)

I'm getting a National Express bus down to London from Manchester next week for only £6. I LOVE National Express! :D

Exactly! hence the hoping of it happening last week.

hmm, it's definitely less than 5100 or so :P i don't think it would make much of a different on tickets anyway...gonna go so quick. MCR did hammersmith pre-album release back in 2010, 5000 or so...sold out in three minutes. And they had two more dates in the UK :P

Green Day are bigger, only seem to have the one date and well.....SHIT? (even if its a similar size venue, could be smaller...)

Especially considering they shifted 75k tickets for Wembley in 2010 + about 52k for the 3 London arena shows in 2009! :pinch:

Mentioned "15 promo shows" for this leg on the interview on MTV.com just there.

3 confirmed Japan shows, 5 European shows. That's 8.

I can see Green Day adding secret shows for both France + Germany. Up to 10.

IHeartRadio in NV = 11.

VMAs = 12.

Now it depends on whether they're counting Voodoo Fest in that list or not (as it's post album release...)

If they are, then up to 13: we'll get the London show plus a secret show.

If not, then we'll get London plus two secret shows.

(of course they might count Voodoo but not the VMAs, so we'd still be on 12 + the second option applies)

exciting times! :D

If they aren't counting Voodoo, then there's still hope for MTV Crashes Manchester in September.

Oh my god, fuck. So damn exciting. Please please don't be 18+...

Where's that shirt from, btw? Are they selling it at the Japan show? :)

A Japanese fan on facebook posted it.

CAN THEY JUST TELL US WHAT'S GOING ON PLEASE?

I'm feeling so shouty.

Londoners, prepare for something in the next week or so:

Now this is what I call legit/convincing instead of giving hints to the effect of I know something none of you do.

Anyway, if the concert is listed among the other "big" ones, maybe it's not a secret show for, like, 500 people, right?

That's what I was thinking, it'd be quite strange to have a tiny secret show listed with all those massive ones. Then again, if it were a massive gig theyd have to have announced it before now, surely.

My bet is that it'll be either the 21st or the 22nd.

Going to try and search different venues and see what the gig listings are for the next week.....although that means it probably can't be an O2 venue, right? Because then there'd be presale allowances for O2 customers?

Shit just got real.

Brixton has no shows from the 21st all that week.

Hammersmith next show is on the 26th.

HMV Forum has no events in August.

KOKO has no events from the 20th til 23rd.

Shepherds Bush Empire has no events from 19th til 23rd.

Doesn't really help narrow the choice of venue down.

As much as a show at hmv forum or koko or shepherds bush would be awesome it'd be impossible to get tickets, they hold such a small amount of people, hmv Apollo hammersmith would be better

Well HMV Forum holds 2,450. Not bad!

I think that or Brixton would be class.

Starting to get seriously excited, if its during the festival I'll just leave and go down the London anyway, then come back. Not sure how well that'll go down with my mate, but oh well. Seriously nervous about the ticket situation though. Every day it isn't announced I'm relieved cause I'm one day closer to being at home with a laptop and an adequate internet connection. Really hope it is one of those slightly larger venues holding a couple of thousand.

FINALLY we're getting somewhere!

btw Youmeatsix tweeted the following:

"We've just confirmed something very very very very special. So excited and can only hope you'll be as excited about this as us!"

That BETTER not be Green Day support or i'll be very annoyed :angry
