Holly Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Please please PLEASE don't be next week unless it's monday or tuesday and tickets go on sale Sunday. If not I, along with many of the reading/leeds festival people, are a little screwed. The bloody train tickets are gonna cost me a couple of hundred if its announced the day before. Good job I get paid this week and i have a mate with a flat in london, although whether she'd happily hand over the keys is another matter.. Gawd, hold on five more days to announce it please, guys.
Harriet Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 If it is next week please please don't be friday or saturday. Otherwise I'm good to go.
Silent Duck Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Wish I could go but my passport expired last month. Can't really afford it either, better off saving for the full tour anyways. Hopefully everyone who wants a ticket gets one.
Isabel Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 London is only an hours flight away so getting there won't be a problem, its just the ticket situation. Just been on Ryanair.com, their flights are ridiculously priced right now. Michael O Leary is obviously in cahoots with the lads.
Holly Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 I'm really hoping there was significance in the plurality of 'surprises', gonna hold on to that glimmer of hope that they're gonna play MTV Crashes Manchester until the actual act is announced.
Isabel Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 MAYBE THEY'LL BE GENEROUS AND PLAY IN IRELAND TOO. *twitch*
cocoepops Posted August 13, 2012 Author Posted August 13, 2012 Haha, you actually made it! That was unexpected! Anything for the fair Irish maiden
Trina Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Ugh. Martyn, do you think they'll be in the UK sometime on or between the 3rd and the 9th of September 2012? I ask because in your sig you have a "date" listed as ?/??/???? - only one question mark for the date. Also it would fit in with their schedule. Hmm.
TheJedi Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Martyn, now you're talking about a secret show in Paris on twitter.. how do you know this stuff?
Martyn Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Where you from? Shannon is only half an hour from me and there's flights 7 days a week so travel isn't an issue! Don't even joke about something like that! I'd die of heart failure Mayo. Knock would be handy but flights are such a pain at times + there's another 10 euro departure fee to pay + shizz...dublin just works out better a lot of the time Ugh. I ask because in your sig you have a "date" listed as ?/??/???? - only one question mark for the date. Also it would fit in with their schedule. Hmm. The number of question marks have nothing to do with the actual date, i realised if i had two - people would presume it's in August, haha. Had another date in there which turned out to be wrong, before i found out - whoops. Martyn, now you're talking about a secret show in Paris on twitter.. how do you know this stuff? That's based completely off rumours + the possibility of them playing + more importantly, the possibility i could get there! nothing concrete there as far as i'm aware of just in case!
LittleBoyNamedTrain Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Based on the fact that Martyn tweeted a few days ago that he's at a gig the night before the secret show, I'm guessing 21st August is our date. Sorry if this doesn't make sense. It's early.

petros Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Why are you people so impatient? Most of you know they will come to your country eventually so just wait and you'll see. Imagine how I feel living in greece and knowing the chances for them to come here are as tiny as billies winner. stupid stupid joke
The Pedestrian Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 The “surprises” better not be reading and leeds.... :/ EDIT: stupid idea. That wouldn’t require “being prepared” and they’re too big for a surprise set. Panic over.
Daddy. Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Doubt I'll be able to see the show. Might chance coming down though. Let's face it, they'll play here soon enough for the tour. Good luck if you go to this "surprise" show
farley drexel hatcher Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 James Mcmahon from Kerrang has said he's interviewing them next week so i'd say that confirms they will be in the UK then.
solongfromthestars Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Shit. We're gonna have to use the money that's in the bank for our Rock am See hotel if it's next week...
ClaireLouise Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I wish they were playing Rock City in Nottingham. Now THAT'S a venue.
Isabel Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I'm thinking/praying for the 21st or the 22nd. Less Than Jake is the 23rd and the 25th. If this clashes, I genuinely won't know what to do. Can't cope with that.
solongfromthestars Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I wish they were playing Rock City in Nottingham. Now THAT'S a venue. Yes. Definitely. It's not my favourite venue or anything, but they should come to Nottingham. They just should.
ClaireLouise Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I remember missing out on tickets for the Nottingham Arena gig in late 2004 so had to make do with Milton Keynes tickets. Best thing that ever happened! Haha.
drugstore hooligan Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 If they do put on a show in the UK soon ill be bummed cos I'm broke as hell. Ill just have to wait for the arena tour. Having no money is crap.
~ Walking Contradiction Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 James Mcmahon from Kerrang has said he's interviewing them next week so i'd say that confirms they will be in the UK then. Maybe the concert will be on the 20th or the 21st 'cause Kerrang is out on Wednesday, so the interview (plus a report of the concert) could be ready by then...or they'll do the interview and then the concert during the week and the issue with Green Day will come out on the 29th

Although I wouldn't be surprised if the interview was next week along with a secret gig or two, then both as the cover feature on Kerrang for the 29th. All this said, as long as the gig is before September 5th ill definitely be there as I'm on summer break from college until then, with some money in my pocket from my extra summer hours at work. Come on Green Day!! I've been waiting since 16/06/2010 to see you again.

Maybe Kerrang! will have nothing to do with it and Green Day will play next Monday or Tuesday.
