it has to be a day that I can! if there will be a secret show do you think tickets will go on sale on idiot club or on another site?

because I don't have too much money in my card, and if I buy now the box set of the trilogy including a year of idiot club, that I will do... but is better for me to keep the money to buy the ticket if a show is announced today, or is better for me to order the box set now and join the iC today?

thank you, sorry for my bad english! I need to go to the secret show if there will be ç___ç

That would be such a hard decision for me :P What if you join the IC just in case? Now that you mentioned it, I think it's possible that they do it, as they increased the price "for a reason". And then when you get the box you'll still have an extra year, probably when they're still on tour :)

Can you tell me whether I need to work my ass off to quickly make some money for train fare? :P

Or Germany will get a secret show, too. :whistle:P

I guess we wouldn't mind at all :P I can't wait to hear more about all this. These guys are making everyone on here go crazy

I think a lot of people are jumping the gun a bit. The only hint we've had that's worth anything is Tre's Facebook status. The editor from Kerrang! was probably only trying to get people to buy the magazine, otherwise there would have been somethin that hints towards Green Day show(s) in the UK. There's nothing substantial enough to justify a UK tour in the near future yet.

I think if we should pay attention to anyone, it's tre.

So do I, but it's still not enough to say there's going to be a UK tour. It's likely they're going to play MTV's Music Video Awards on September 6th; the American Music Awards on November 18th is being booked and there's already a couple of US dates which suggests it's likely there will be a US tour during September through November. This leaves the only available months (this year) of part of August and December. The American Idiot UK tour is running in December and, in my opinion they'll not tour then for that reason. It's too late to announce a full UK tour for August.

How do you know they're going to be at the American Music Awards? And according to Billboard the US tour should be from November to January and not starting in September.

There was a Billboard article stating that the American Music Awards "is being booked as we speak." They also say it's "highly likely" they will be playing MTV's Music Video Awards, which is on September 6th and they're playing in Las Vegas on 21st September and New Orleans on 27th October. That was why I thought there may be a US tour September through November. :D

Well yeah a tour is unrealistic now but a one off show isn't

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if there were one or two surprise shows during the time they're in the area this month/next month, but it's definitely too late for a full-out UK tour.

Never said a one off show isn't unrealistic, but I agree with you nonetheless.

Lord, a secret show best not occur whilst I'm stuck on holiday in the middle of the Cornish countryside. Beautiful place, but I'd rather be at the gig..

I'm so glad to be over eighteen this time round, no worries about secret shows ever again. Unless I find myself in America, of course.

No UK tour until early next year, try late Jan/Feb probably.

but, you said something about this/next month

Well i think assuming there could be a tour in the few months left is stupid but there would be time for a secret show i guess. Im crossing everything that if they do it wont be till between Japan and France. Also coming to Ireland would be sweet.

By the near future I meant the remainder of this year.

I presumed this topic steered away from the upcoming tour next year which won't be announced for a couple of months, and focussing on what will be announced for this year ;)

Tour implies more than one show, in my opinion anyway.

He said there's a (secret) show in the UK, which in some way has been confirmed by Trè, but I think he was replying to someone mentioning a proper UK tour, and that won't be announced for months.

This topic is mainly about the (secret) show(s) now I suppose :P?

That's no problem at all :)

@Martyn: You seem so sure that Green Day will play a show in the UK quite soon. I don't understand how anyone who is not closely related to the band (i.e. family and management) can know such information. Of course, there can be rumours, but no one with the exception of the band and their family etc can be absolutely 100% sure about anything.
