Bam-Itz-GreenDay Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 The day they go bald is the day I die. Just kidding. I just love all of their hair so much. Billie's hair is part of the reason why I love him so much In my opinion on when they looked best, I think for Billie, I liked the 21CB era the best. AI is a close close close 2nd. For Mike, I freaking love his hair right now! annnd for Mr. Trè Cool. I liked him best in the AI era, i believe.
Harry Potter. Posted May 12, 2012 Author Posted May 12, 2012 They should really start dressing as 40 year olds. No, I want them looking young as long as they can!!!
WhatserKinx Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 They should really start dressing as 40 year olds. How does a 40 year old dress? If you ask me they are dressing their age, sure some people don't like the shirt and tie look but at least they aren't trying to hang on to their youth by dying their hair bright colours (I know some people want them to go back to blue/red/green hair but I don't like the idea).
Harry Potter. Posted May 12, 2012 Author Posted May 12, 2012 No, I want them looking young as long as they can!!! Maybe i'll explain this a little more, because I don't want this to be misunderstood. I don't mean 'young' like the Dookie era with blue hair, and stuff. I mean for example the 21stCB era, that they're pretty much not looking too old.
DannyDirnt Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 They should really start dressing as 40 year olds. Are you fucking kidding me? If they're gonna start dressing up like my dad, they would sure make would music, but they would be much less cool. They'd look older and they would look more mature and...they wouldn't rock as much as they do now. They are Green Day,not my teachers,k? And they are totally doing good dressing up like they do.What would be a rockstar doing dressing up like a regular 40 year old man? Really, sometimes I don't understand people...
Annie, get your gun Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 I can't believe you guys ended up talking about them going bald They don't have any problem with gettin' old, but of course as everybody, and even more they for being rockstars, image is important. Either way you remind me of this comic made by the very talented Arielle Phillips (from "Greendaycomix" on Deviantart) which is quite funny

Really, sometimes I don't understand people... you dont understand people? i don't understand why you think them dressing in suspenders and pleated pants would change the fact that they are the same band they;ve been for the past 23 years. clothes dont make them "rock more," what goes through their mind does. what they stand for does. i for one would LOVE them to wear "normal" clothes and prove to the world that they aren't fashion icons
InsideOut Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Hahaha, that comic is great. Those expressions... I don't mind the shirt and tie look at all, but gosh, I love it when they're all just wearing a simple T-shirt or something. That's gotta be my favourite. Also, Mike's current hairstyle is awesome.

They wore normal clothes -before- American Idiot and maybe this time they'll start doing it again, even if they wear all black and rock t-shirts. For me, the fact that they started wearing suits and "uniforms" doesn't mean that they're fashion icons or something...
Harry Potter. Posted May 13, 2012 Author Posted May 13, 2012 That's a good point. They wore normal clothes -before- American Idiot Not always, though. This is from 1994: Sure, Mike and Tre are dressed normally, but look at Billie.
DannyDirnt Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 I wasn't referring to normal clothes. The normal clothes they've been wearing lately are good. But that guy said "if they started dressing up like 40 year olds".If they're gonna dress up like my dad, then they would look horrible. And I do care about what they wear,because...I don't know why,but I do.I like seeing them looking good,it's fun haha

DannyDirnt Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Well, they wore normal clothes most of the time.To be honest I think they look better with their AI-21CB look but if they start wearing normal clothes I can buy them and wear the same clothes,so this is awesome in its own magnificent way.
Annie, get your gun Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Not always, though. This is from 1994: Sure, Mike and Tre are dressed normally, but look at Billie. Yeah, but that was only once. Or twice. Besides, he was very scruffy back then

Annie, get your gun Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Billie did a couple of songs starkers once. I know. But I've never seen them
Sweet Armataged Chump Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Billie didn't wear normal clothes a lot in 1994. Jaded in Chicago: Billie and Mike Basket Case music video Conan O'Brien Letterman Jon Stewart: Billie and Mike Letterman 1995: Billie and Mike Leno 1996
Harry Potter. Posted May 14, 2012 Author Posted May 14, 2012 Basket Case music video Look closely. It's actually just a casual shirt and the red thing is the thing so that he doesn't have to hold his heavy guitar.
Sweet Armataged Chump Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Look closely. It's actually just a casual shirt and the red thing is the thing so that he doesn't have to hold his heavy guitar. Underneath is a casual shirt. The one over that you can see the collar. Not regular street clothes.
Harry Potter. Posted May 14, 2012 Author Posted May 14, 2012 Underneath is a casual shirt. The one over that you can see the collar. Not regular street clothes. Ohhh, sorry!!! But still no tie.
WhatserKinx Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Ohhh, sorry!!! But still no tie. Maybe he lost it? I know my school tie likes to hide
