Satan Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 She is my all-time favorite song. forever. It sucks that it's losing i really don't get the appeal of letterbomb tbh, i like it, but it's not even on my top five for american idiot. also, roshambo deserves a lot more votes.
BringMoreKnives Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Ahhh hard choice. I voted Who Wrote Holden Caufield. I really really love Roshambo too, though.
Cheap Escape Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I had to vote for Letterbomb, it's just a really great song. It's my second favorite song made by Green Day (JOS being my all-time favorite).
spark in the night Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 SO. DIFFICULT. I chose Letterbomb, it makes my heart race Mother Mary and American Eulogy come in close behind
auraylia Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 well viva la gloria little girl is the most relatable to me but the best? i think not personly i dont think there is a "best" song
GreenRanger Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Ah, Scattered is such an underdog. I dunno, i really suck shit at picking favorites anymore. I'm surprised to see Letterbomb kicking so much ass though.
Mar Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 YOU WORRY, YOU WORRY, YOU WORRY, YOU WORRY, YOU WORRY. That is all.
EJN Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 A really awesome list. Every single song is amazing! I could have voted for any of them. But I have always had a special relationship with Letterbomb. Its just so loud and powerful. The structure is awesome with the scream and the progression change for the final pre-chorus. When I first started watching live vids of Green Day I saw the performance of the AI album where Billie said this is his fav from AI. That increased my connection. Seeing it live was truly one of the best moments of my life. I remember saying "no way" to my friend when the first octave was struck. And the drop out for the bridge was indescribably epic. It is my second favorite after JOS so I guess I'm doing good with the final picks so far haha. Keeping my fingers crossed that it holds on
Heather. Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Don't get me wrong, I think Letterbomb is a great song... but I also think it's extremely overrated among hardcore fans. What BOBD is to the masses, Letterbomb is to GDC.
Malleus Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Don't get me wrong, I think Letterbomb is a great song... but I also think it's extremely overrated among hardcore fans. What BOBD is to the masses, Letterbomb is to GDC. Wow, this is so ridiculously true I had to post saying it's so ridiculously true. I am surprised She isn't doing that well.
TheJesusOfSuburbiaIsALie Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Yay! Mother Mary! She, definately She! This song really speaks out of all the songs there and it's just so melodious
frunsi Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Don't get me wrong, I think Letterbomb is a great song... but I also think it's extremely overrated among hardcore fans. What BOBD is to the masses, Letterbomb is to GDC. big thumbs up this is exactly my thought. what a coincidence!
bjrules Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I found it really hard to choose. All of these songs have something about them that makes them brilliant, but I had to go with Letter Bomb. I'm really surprised that one is winning by so much though, I was expecting it to be way closer.
solongfromthestars Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Yeah I'm quite surprised Letterbomb is winning! I didn't realise it was so popular. I love it though.
Marie_GD Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 She, for what it did to me at the live concerts. But Letterbomb is a close second, that song should definitely have been a single! So...first round we get Jesus of Suburbia and (up until) now we get Letterbomb? Just shows to prove that American Idiot is one of Green Day's greatest work <3
lizziebix Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 She it was a hard choice though Seems contradictory considering your username!
Hermione Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 Seems contradictory considering your username! Well she's a Walking Contradiction! So she should be contradictory by not voting for Walking Contradiction. Makes perfect sense
lizziebix Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Well she's a Walking Contradiction! So she should be contradictory by not voting for Walking Contradiction. Makes perfect sense I was so waiting for this comment to be made back to me! Was wondering if anyone would see it that way!
Hermione Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 I was so waiting for this comment to be made back to me! Was wondering if anyone would see it that way! Couldn't resist taking the bait. Hmm quite surprised to see Going To Pasalacqua in third place. Would've thought She would be there instead. Nothing else too surprising so far though.
Mr.Whirly1988 Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Yeah I'm quite surprised Letterbomb is winning! I didn't realise it was so popular. I love it though. same here... honestly? It shocked me.. I used to be obsessed with that song not knowing that many people were into it as well.. that's amazing.. I voted for ''Who Wrote Holden Caulfield?'' though...
Clayish Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 wow. actually what surprised to see Letterbomb winning, been my favorite GD song the first time I heard it. The pinnacle of Green Day's writing and emotion. Seeing it live was unreal. Their best song.
