One of the reasons I respect Green Day so much as musicians is because they never repeat themselves. imagine coming in here and actually finding news Agreed. Why the hell would anyone want to listen to something that they've have already listened to??? That's boring. That's not living.

I meant something like, doing a style of music in one album, then some years later and doing that same style. There's no proggression or any innovation in that. Listening to the same song on repeat is fine, but it is not what i had intended to get at.

I'm undecided if I'm gonna listen to any demos/leaks (I've only listened to the secret show songs once the night of the show, and I barely remember them ), but that's an argument for listening to them I'm making in my head!

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't play anything from Dos or Tre on the first part of the tour after Uno is out. But it would suck for fans at those shows because they wouldn't be able to hear those other new songs live. Would rather go to a later show (after January) so I can hear all the songs
sampy Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I was thinking about this last night. So, they have now tour dates in the end of August and September 1st. Those are in Europe excluding Summer Sonic date in Japan. What do you guys think, if they're touring in Europe from August to late September, around the time when ¡Uno! is going to be released. Then they're moving to US and Canada to have a tour around the release date of ¡Dos!, in October/November. Then they'll have a little break again and after the New Year they're touring in Asia or Australia, or both. So they split the tour in three parts, among the release dates of the three albums. But of course every tour will have songs from each album. Not like that Europeans will hear only ¡Uno! songs while Australian people might enjoy only the material of ¡Tré! Like, Billie introducing the song on ¡Uno!-tour: "Okay this next song is from our upcoming album ¡Dos! and it's called Let Yourself Go, are guys ready?!"

I can see them doing a few show like this before each album is released to promote the albums. Then in 2013 they start their world tour proper with everything to choose from.
Heather. Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I agree with Alan, I don't think they're going to have a proper tour this fall. I think they'll have a LOT of promotional appearances and maybe nights where they perform a whole album in its entirety, but I don't think it would make sense for them to tour and perform songs that people don't yet know. At least, I would be annoyed, because I would want to know the songs before I see them live. It really affects how much I can enjoy any performance with how already invested I am in the music.

I was just wondering if those already existing tour dates will be part of the new official tour, because there was a rumour the band havnig UK tour this fall, but it's just a rumour. I still don't think those dates will be the last ones in Europe around that time. And when I told my thoughts about three tours, I wasn't saying they wouldn't tour in 2013. On the contrary, I think they'll be up with huge summer world tour in 2013. But I agree with Alan also, those festival tour dates might be pretty much just a promoting for the upcoming trilogy.

Telling their thoughts about this huge project, about the whole process until this day etc. Hopefully they're going to give some interviews during this summer.
