gmcloughlin Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Yay Stray Heart is on iDos! That article was really good and I have to say, the guys are looking REALLY good
farley drexel hatcher Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I thought 'stop when the red lights flash' was something to do with being in the studio, how there's usually a red 'record' light when they're rechording ... no idea though haha I figured it had to have some significance for him to say it in 'that's alright mama'
DannyDirnt Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Haha, yeah, that'd be much fun to listen to, especially the first time I also hope that Billie's ''this song is about sex'' before fuck time will be included as well I hope it isn't included in the studio version.
Comic Sans Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Yay Stray Heart is on iDos! That article was really good and I have to say, the guys are looking REALLY good Stray Heart is the 4th track on Trè.
solongfromthestars Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Stray Heart is the 4th track on Trè. Billboard say it's on Dos, one of the interviewers the other day said it's on Tre. Guess it could have been moved or something
DannyDirnt Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 My guess is that it has been moved to Tré. It fits more with "cleaning up the mess"
bjrules Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 My guess is that it has been moved to Tré. It fits more with "cleaning up the mess" I always thought it sounded more like a "party" song myself, though I can kind of see where you're coming from. But as long as it makes it onto the trilogy then I'm happy

gmcloughlin Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Ya, sorry I was just going on the newest article, but either way I don't care. After hearing the live recording last year and falling in love with it, I just can't wait to hear the studio version
jtdscape Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Does anyone know what the phrase "stop when the red lights flash" actually means then? I know the song is about sex but I have no idea what the phrase relates to or anything like that When I was in California every school bus said "Stop When Red Lights Flash" on them. Not sure if thats where Billie actually got the name from though.
WestboundSign! Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 When I was in California every school bus said "Stop When Red Lights Flash" on them. Not sure if thats where Billie actually got the name from though. That's what I've been associating with it as well.
solongfromthestars Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 The sign by the train tracks here says "stop when red lights flash" too. I guess it could just be a personal thing that he made up, maybe we'll know one day. It's probably a metaphor for something else.
The Pedestrian Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I always assumed it was about sex, but a play on words based on the level crossing signs. As for where Stray Heart is, it’s meant to be one of the most pop songs so fits on Dos, and billboard (a pretty reliable source) said it was. The lady who said it was on Tre said she didn’t really remember. Maybe it’s the fourth track on Dos and she got it wrong? Seems like the best bet....
pieterv Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Oh… so I've got the dirtiest red lights interpretation eh … When translated it's similar to what's sometimes said amongst guys so I just figured it meant the same and I'm still guessing I'm right, Green Day can be "ew"
Bastard of 1967 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I believe it relates to the menstrual cycle Ha! they've done it before in FBHT's "Red Tide"! I've always interpreted "is this passion - or your red tide" to mean "are you really mad at me or are you just on the rag?" Adie must've slapped BJ something FIERCE after he penned that one!
Sixtrix Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I just realized that there is no way Uno will hit number 1 in the album list after the first week of sales with No Doubt releasing their new album on the same day or week. That will be the first one since AI and 21CB. It's still going to kick ass though

Sure it could still hit number 1

1039SweetChildren Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I just realized that there is no way Uno will hit number 1 in the album list after the first week of sales with No Doubt releasing their new album on the same day or week. That will be the first one since AI and 21CB. It's still going to kick ass though To my knowledge, No Doubt has never had a #1 album. Granted, the album competing with Uno will be their long awaited comeback, but Green Day will definitely give them a run for their money... especially if the trilogy is as well marketed as Warner plans.
Heather. Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Yeah, I don't think No Doubt's album release necessarily ruins Uno's chances at debuting at #1 (though it doesn't help)... weren't there some big-ish releases the same week as 21CB? I think it'll really depend on who has the more successful singles in the next few months... if I can manage to pick myself up off the floor and mop up my drool Monday morning after listening to Oh Love, I'll try to remember to give No Doubt's first new single a listen too, because it's coming out the same day. See what the competition is (and hopefully like the song... though I'm not the biggest fan of them.) Actually, what the hell am I talking about... I hope their song sucks so they have no hopes of competing with Green Day. Who am I kidding... competition isn't fun, it's just stressful.
solongfromthestars Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Well after being inspired by the Oh Love countdown clock, I made an Uno one http://countingdownto.com/countdown/102306

Heather. Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Is that band any famous? I had never heard their name till now It's Gwen Stefani's band, they've been together since 1986, save for a 4-year hiatus. They've won Grammys. They're playing the I Heart Radio Festival like Green Day. So, yes.
