Well, I voted for Favorite Son (It's my favorite on that list)

By the way, Where is "Private Hell" and "Supermarket"??? If you included "The Saints are coming", why not those songs with Iggy Pop?

Also, where is the acoustic version of "Life During Wartime" posted on 2003 in gd.com and D.U.I.??? Will it be any chance of a poll about "original versions" (Maria, Good Riddance, etc), "Alternate versions/mixes" (Hold on, 409 in your coffee maker, 2000 light years away, Walking Contradiction, Last of the american girls, etc)

Well guys, I know.... Too many questions :P

Bye

I was crying at the end of that song the first time I heard it.

Favorite Son! Favorite Son!

Doesn't anyone love Hearts Collide? I though it would have a lot more votes. I don't really like Cigarettes and Valentines that much. I was surprised to see that so many people voted for It.

I actually found all the 21ctbd b-sides very boring. It's sad, really.

But, where is "why does it always rain one me", they did a studio version of it way back when. Crappy quality, but I'm pretty sure it was a studio recording.

Those songs with Iggy Pop don't really have vocals from any of the members so it seems kind of pointless to add them, as well as they will hardly get any votes anyway. The acoustic version of "Life During Wartime" wasn't studio recorded or official released. D.U.I was done a couple of weeks ago with the Shenanigans voting. No we will not be doing original/alternate versions, the songs already had their chance to be voted for so I don't see why slightly different versions should be done as well.

What's "Private Hell" and "Supermarket"?

What's "Private Hell" and "Supermarket"?

They're Iggy Pop songs that Green Day co-wrote and played on, they were on his 2003 album "Skull Ring":

Like Liam said there wouldn't really have been any point in including them in this poll but it's interesting to hear the Green Day contribution to them.

You could try searching the songs on youtube, lots of different people have uploaded them so some of them might work.

Ballad of Wilhelm Fink.

this one was tough...i decided to vote for an "original" song and not a cover and then i voted for Ballad Of Wilhelm Fink, simply cos i love it, it's short and very easy, no really deep lyrics, but it makes me happy every time i listen to it and somehow it has everything a song needs

This one is hard two of my favorite songs are Favorite Son and Shoplifter.

ended up going with Favorite Son

So many great songs, difficult to choose one!

The fact that Outsider hasn't been mentioned is depressing.

I voted for "Like a Rolling Stone" One of my favorite non-green day songs, and I thought that they did really well, as always.

doesn't work in Germany

Well, just in time to vote :P Though I really love how Billie's voice sounds on Favorite Son and I see it's winning, I don't like the topic of the song so I voted for lovely Hearts Collide  Go Billie and Mikey love-song collaboration!! ♥

I do love the songs on the list that Green Day wrote (Shoplifter is my favourite ), but their covers of Working Class Hero and A Quick One are so amazing that they beat them. Gonna have to go for A Quick One, I have such wonderful memories of watching the Foxies play it. I knew it was the last song (it was actually second to last but I thought it would be) so I was like right I'm gonna remember EVERY second of this, I think I watched the whole thing without blinking . It worked because whenever I hear it I can imagine that night really clearly. Great cover and perfect live!

No "Billie Joe's Mom"? I was so going to vote for that.

PS: I voted for "When It's Time" btw.

Tre's songs should of been in there. :P

Posted

I had to go for Working Class Hero, not only because I was raised in a home where the beatles (and members solo stuff) was constantly playing but i loved the way GD adapted it, and it was for a fantastic cause.

All of them :tired:
