The Ballad of Wilhelm Fink, oh yess! But I have to say that I love Lights Out too, it's a really good song.

iknow and dead kennedys , but green day want do it more like clash

I love the Dead Kennedys cover because the lyrics are better: "I needed sex and I got mine" :P or "I fought the law and I won" :D

We decided not to include songs they've only played live (but made an exception for C&V since they recorded and released it officially).

It was such a rip between TMTS and Favourite Son. Went with TMTS because the original version is just as fun to sing as the Broadway version, whereas the original of FS is NOT as fun as Broadway (fairly justified in my opinion).

Surprisingly hard one this time. All are pretty equally matched. I had to go with Working Class Hero. To outdo John Lennon is an incredible feat and in this case the cover truly does trump the original. I could go with Favorite Son or TMTS as well. Maybe ill change :shifty:

I think Cigarettes and Valentines is overrated but it is the newest so that is to be expected. Still a cool song but not the best on the list in my opinion

I was kind of surprised that one didn't just "jump out at me" like from the other albums. Had to actually think about my choice this time and choose between 2 of my favs. :) It won't win - my picks never do! :lol:

I just discovered The Ballad of Wilhelm Fink and I love it, I wish it was longer :(

They made it for a compilation album called "Short Music For Short People" that had 99 roughly 30 second long songs by different bands on it. Which makes it's shortness cooler :D

I went for Governator. It's such a bad ass song, and Mike sounds awesome in it.

+ it has the legendary line "I'll be back" in it ._.

I like Shoplifter as well, I listened to that a lot in junior high.. :3

i love a quick one & like a rolling stone in the same way!<3

but i went with like a rolling stone. i must admit that green day really made me like their version of dylan's song more than the original..

a quick one is also a masterpiece but for me it's neither the original nor the cover that i love more.

btw: when it's time is definitely the best love song :)

because i'm a big girls blouse i've voted for When It's Time - such a great love song.

kind of surprised Favourite Son is so high, thought C&V would be the out and out winner of this selection
